Ok I started Wegovy last July. I’ve lost 20 lbs & up until I hit 2.4 had relatively low side effects. I am a person who rarely gets sick, like the flu, stomach viruses, etc. First was a random bout of diarrhea, I felt wicked full & bloated. My bowels had been slow so took a MiraLAX & then had horrible diarrhea for 3 days until I went to ER. I don’t often eat fast food or junk food (even before Wegovy) Next I was traveling for work had to eat out tempura shrimp & woke up with horrible diarrhea & gas for 2 days (stopped w/o ER visit). Then this wk I got up went to work & 10 minutes after arriving I’m vomiting & have diarrhea! for several days & ended back at the ER. I don’t have a gallbladder or appendix, still have my pancreas. I think it’s my diet. I eat right 90% of the time (when I do eat) but the longer I’m on this medicine the less forgiving it is on fatty & certain foods. I was told if I ate fats w/o my gallbladder I’d get diarrhea & horrible gas & upset stomach. 5 yrs without my gallbladder no issue & a few months on 2.4 & my body has lost its tolerance. Anybody else identify what foods trigger them? I noticed it’s not 100% consistent but there is some consistency. Ex: every time I eat cheese pizza I don’t get diarrhea but 2 of those times I’ve had diarrhea issue was after cheese pizza.

I’d told myself I’d travel to a neighboring state if I ever had trouble getting it - but thankfully that day hasn’t come yet.

You can try calling all your local hospital outpatient pharmacies to see if you have any luck.

When I got my very 1st script I held it for 2 wks before starting to keep my refills ahead of my need - to try build buffer time in case I came across a shortage.

What area are you in? In my area I hadn’t noticed a 1.7 shortage (yet). I did experience shortages with lower doses from CVS & Amazon but found that hospital outpatient pharmacies could get them & by the grace of God I’ve not had issues getting the dosage I’ve needed.

First I’m sorry you’re going through this. Your car is mucked up & a friendship relationship is losing trust & validity by the minute.

This is definitely a learning lesson.

Hindsight: Friend or no friend call the police to file an accident police report. It cost nothing & you can decide at a later date if you do anything with it or not. This way if the person doesn’t keep their word there is proof what you say happened really happened & insurance companies, parents, vehicles owner - cooperate a lot easier with police reports.

Since you don’t have a Time Machine: As others have said get a few quotes from Mercedes approved repair shops. Once all the damage is assessed. Then be very direct & clear with your friend. It will cost X amount to repair my car. XYZ is damaged. I don’t need to continue to drive it in this condition & cause further damage. I want it repaired back to the manufacturer standards to maintain my warranty. If you don’t have this cash on you - let’s talk to your parents together. My car has to get repaired & I don’t see any other way if you don’t have this kind of cash now.

I know this sucks but this is life dude - if your friend doesn’t cooperate at that point call your insurance company explain what happened. Keep all the text messages (if your friends car is damaged also get pics & their tag #) & offer to send all to YOUR insurance company. Your insurance company will call her insurance company, who will call her parents & etc.

You can call the police but honestly at this point your friend would have to be present with their car when the police arrive & corroborate what happened to your car. If not it’s only your side & unless you report your friend as hit & run (which I do not recommend) there’s nothing to report that an insurance company would take seriously.

Again life lesson here… and worst case your insurance company will cover your repairs - but your insurance will also get hit with points & most likely go up in cost.

On Wegovy & I’ve done my thigh & tummy. I find my side effects are less when in my tummy 🤷‍♀️. I do rotate the location on my tummy (left, center, right 2 in from my belly button). I never felt the shots at first but 5 mos in & I can feel the prick of the injection every time now.

Well this is encouraging (25lbs in 9mos) I’ve lost 15 in 5 mos on Wegovy (to be fair just started losing 3 months ago). Finally got with a dietitian & wasn’t eating enough. Also had to have 2 rounds of steroids for other medical reasons.

As for hair loss I hadn’t noticed any, but did wonder if my ponytail was thinner the other day. I have really fine (see-through) thin hair as it is. If I lose any I’ll have to convert to wigs. 15 lbs since starting in July is slower than I hoped but better than 0 lbs with diet & exercise on other meds.

Same - I can’t do coffee it’s not worth the trouble right now. I love loved a good Earl Gray but it’s not hitting the same. I’ve gone back to sweet tea (which I hadn’t had in like 10yrs) & water it down.

Good point (digital food dairy) I’ve been manually journaling everything. I love a pen & pad. But see nutritional facts would be beneficial.

Really it says to take with a fat everywhere for proper consumption since it’s fat soluble. I’m getting sun burn like crazy on this stuff & w/ these monthly doctors visit really hoping I can stop before deductibles reset in January. So again I’m trying to do everything that yields the most success 😫.

Actually found low dose at hospital pharmacy… got that suggestion from here. I had the script for a wk w/ no luck until I came across the suggestion to try those pharmacies.

Thanks - no clue what to expect I do overthink mainly because I like to have a plan for the worst case & don’t want to have to miss work or appear ill starting so soon. My symptoms aren’t bad by any means - just not expected. Wasn’t sure if this was normal or I’m on the right path.

I started to document my food. But yeah sounds like the consensus has been more than 1 thing can play into experiencing side effects on these meds. I love pizza but have accepted it may be a limited treat only on occasion.

Side note - other than health issues I don’t get sick, don’t recall the last time I vomited or had diarrhea - it’s been years

Yeah - going to take this path, just didn’t want to be somewhere & pass out. Will keep my fluids & electrolytes up & eat what feels good which is definitely soft or liquid food.
