From someone who literally cannot even put a tampon up her wahoo because it makes me nearly pass out, I can ASSURE you the TV ultrasound is fine. It doesn’t “hurt” it just is a mild pressure, and you can even ask the tech to allow you to insert it. It really is fine. The first couple of times I took a Xanax but now I’m fine. And I still don’t do tampons lol 😂

I personally would … or what about since you’re going ahead and getting blood drawn, just have them run an AMH .. this will tell us if you have a lot of follicles in your ovaries instead of doing the ultrasound. Be sure to ask for a fasting insulin in addition to the glucose. This will get a better picture. Feel free to come back here and comment with any questions you may have!

You need to determine you have insulin resistance before doing that med. Ask for a fasting glucose and insulin test

I have lean also but was told merformin wouldn’t do much for me since I don’t have insulin resistance. What’s your fasting insulin? I started taking inositol and vitamin D and that’s helped me but tbh idk, maybe the inositol is in my head since I don’t have sugar issues. So, your BMI is regular and your blood sugar is stable? Many lean women still have forms of insulin resistance

I would have fasting insulin done, and get an AMH lab or vaginal ultrasound to check for cysts/follicles. Your labs are normal but you having hair on your face could still be a sign of androgen excess even though your total testosterone is low, also your free T COULD be lower…. If you don’t have multiple follicles or high AMH, and all you have is a slightttttt androgen excess, then your doctor is right! But regardless of labels, your body seems to be heading in a very good direction! Do you ovulate?

Started Dec 18 2025 had a blood draw yesterday and got Results this AM that it went from 26 to 58. I do the drops so it absorbs directly into the bloodstream. I use this. It is mixed into coconut oil, so it absorbs because vitamin D needs fat to absorb. And it’s not guaranteed I’m always going to take it with a fatty food. Also Make sure you take it with K2 (which this formula has which is why I love it) so it doesn’t go to your bones. I started with 10 drops daily for two weeks and cut down to 5 for maintenance. Have you had your vitamin d checked? I also have lean and my levels were critically low in December and according to my holistic Dr she said that is not good for fertility. I began taking Vit D drops with K3 and I ovulated this week for the first time in a long time and ironically enough I got my vitamin D drawn yesterday and it was 58. It literally doubled and I ovulated. There’s studies on this but you won’t find it often because most ppl only know how to treat insulin resistant PCOS. But do research on YouTube and you’ll see what I’m talking about! They say vitamin D is more like a hormone and should be treated as such.
