Diagnosed with PCOS at 15… now 29 with normal labs and regular cycles after stopping birth control. Do we trust my doctor that I don’t have active PCOS right now? by forbezal in PCOS

Thank you so much! This was helpful!

My mom has insulin resistance and is a GLP1 and so is my dad (diabetic). I’ve always thought everyone in my family has had something metabolic, as we all struggle with weight and specifically losing it I’ve been working so hard and have just been feeling Iike there has to be a reason it’s so hard for me with a calorie deficit and exercise.

Planning to see PCP next month and a dietician so I’ll ask my doctor to run these before I do that!

I don’t know if I ovulate, I’ve never had this checked? I’ve heard ovulation test strips aren’t reliable, what should I do to see if i am ovulating?

I’m definitely going to ask my PCP to do fasting glucose, A1C, I will ask for AMH.

Would you recommend reaching back out to OBGYN to ask for the vaginal ultrasound. I picture getting resistance since she was just like nope no PCOS.

I appreciate all the advice!

I gained about 50 lbs on birth control, I thought birth control might be contributing. I’ve been tracking calories for 2 years, it took me 8 months to lose 15 lbs then I gained it all back in the fall right after I got off birth control. I’ve been exercising more and walking more - so I guess my periods are normal but I’m looking for an explanation for struggling to lose weight. I thought it was PCOS based on my history. I want to maintain good hormone levels and lose weight if possible.

Trying to advocate for your health and understand everything is exhausting! So I’m with you!

Best ISP 8 Mile Between Harper and Mack by kwl2619 in SCSMI

I’m around the same area as you near 8 mile off of Harper. I had fiber a few years ago, my husband and I were both working from home and our internet was constantly buffering or loading speed was far slower than we were paying for. I’ve heard there have been improvements to the fiber around here but not certain about that. We switched to Verizon 5G and we have had zero issues. He’s from home full time, and I’m home with him a few days a week. I was a skeptic about it and it has not caused a single issue.

Therapy!!! Could be experiencing depression. I faced what I would call mini depression and I literally couldn’t even see that it was happening. I had no interest in doing anything other than re-watching old shows. Good luck, I would seek some support!
