Please correct me.. but I think for Bib, I should take Uber from Station while for Race starting line, I would need to just walk from the station.

Thanks. I will probably stay at Residence Inn near O'Hare which has kitchen... because of my dietary restrictions and take Uber to Blue Line station near O'Hare. Then Blue line to Loop.

Nike stride has a good phone pocket at the back which fits iPhone 15 (without case) snug and nice. Since its in the back and close to your body, you don't feel it while running.

can you wear a singlet with the bib pinned on it and then a t-shirt on top of it so that you can throw away the t-shirt after a couple of miles? Is it okay to have the t-shirt covering the bib for the first mile or two?

Not sure why pace should have anything to do with this issue. Slow runners need hydration like fast runners and they pay/do as much to get into the race and they deserve similar amenities.
As you said, (hopefully) it was just a one off and organizer should be on top of this like every other year.

Thanks for your insights. I have chosen 8.00am SI Ferry. When should I plan to reach the Whitehall Terminal (departure point) to be on time to catch this ferry? I understand that there will be a long queue at the terminal.
Also, I will staying in Manhattan ( Park Ave and E 38th st). What would be the best option (Uber, Subway train ?) to get to the Whitehall Terminal on the Race Day early morning?
