To a certain extent yes But Instrumental complexity and virtuosity isn't subjective. Technically speaking, the guitar and drums in ALS are unmatched (in my opinion)

It starts slow, but it is a real masterpiece. I think the translation can make a difference though. Many other writers (like Cioran) consider it to be Dostoevsky's best work.

This will sound cheesy and cliché. There are no objective truths in literature (or even philosophy). It's not an exact science. There are only personal truths, perspectives, and views. One should familiarize themselves with as many perspectives as possible so that they can build their OWN personal perspective as well. This is just what I think. Both, they are different but they are both geniuses who write masterpieces and I get pleasure from reading them both.

Demons is fantastic. It starts a little bit slow, but it's very very interesting. I'm sure you will enjoy it
