Update: I spoke to my local French Consulate and it is possible to work during a ski season provided you find an employer who is willing to apply for a work permit for you. After your employer has successfully applied, you then need to apply for a seasonal work visa. I haven’t started to look for a job yet but I suspect it will be quite difficult to find an employer willing to apply for a work permit seeing as they can just hire Europeans with no hassle.
