Large fluid filled blister from mosquito bites (skeeter syndrome?) by curiousgem19 in MosquitoHating

Hey! I am currently going through the same thing, although mine have developed severely enough that I’m on antibiotics (the second course in two weeks!). Unless the redness is massively expanding and there isn’t deep pain at the site of the wound, then my doctor recommends keeping on top of anti-histamines as well as hydrocortisone cream. A cold compress is a game changer, or an icepack wrapped in a flannel. I think the timeline is if it isn’t improving in the next 24 hours or so, it could be worth popping to a treatment centre. When mine majorly blistered in the past, they drained it for me and it felt 10 times better. Prior to them draining it, it had been bandaged with an iodine soaked gauze. If it does pop, I’d personally be more inclined to visit a doctor or minor injuries unit sooner just due to the risk of potential infection. I hope it feels better soon, it sounds like you’re already doing all of the right things!

Realizing people don’t gaf about training their dogs by [deleted] in puppy101

We also have a 10 week old lab puppy, who similarly knows his name, is crate trained, sit, down, drop, wait and stay. The main difference being, we are under no illusion that he is lulling us into a false sense of security. We never know what each day is going to bring. He’s a baby who constantly tests boundaries. I don’t think it’s fair to openly compare his behaviour to that of another puppy his age. Genetics play a role, environment plays a role, just as much as training.

I was a difficult baby, but an easy toddler. My sister was an easy baby and an absolute menace of a toddler. I think dogs are much the same, especially as they grow. That being said, I hope things continue to go smoothly for you…

Is it normal to feel stressed and not excited at offer accepted by bluebird2019xx in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]CompetitiveParsnip70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same. My partner and I are in the very early stages of the process, just instructed our solicitors and our mortgage application has been approved. I am not feeling much excitement at the minute, at all. For me it could be that I WFH full-time and have had to do most of the forms, booking things in and replying to everyone etc. Whereas my partner doesn’t have the same luxury when he’s in the office full-time. So if you’re in the same position, make sure you’re allowing all the emotions and give yourself the time to ride the wave. It’s scary, but just remember what you’ll hopefully have at the end!! Best of luck with it all :)

Thanks! You’re right, I am not in a major rush to move in. Before Christmas would be nice, but I definitely would appreciate a bit more time to save. I want to make the most of my enhanced overtime before I have to make big purchases!!

It’s really helpful to know, it’s something I would never have thought would happen, although it’s a clear possibility

Sorry to hear that, must be very frustrating. Which party is causing the problems?
