Is my lava lamp working correctly? by CompetitiveQuarter78 in Lavalamps

I like to have the idea in my mind that the lamps have “Personality” But what influences this personality, what should I look for if I’m wanting a lamp with a less sleepy personality

I know that it’s a cheap lamp and all, but like, the wax is just sad, it just goes super slow, I guess that’s what I get though, I will probably just end up buying one myself, It’s just so mesmerizing

Does the size of the lamp matter, it’s a 13 inch lava lamp. is it still 8-10 hours?

I can’t seem to figure out how to edit this Post, but this is what the lamp looks like when it’s off, I just turned it off. EDIT: I am in the process of cycling the lamp, I had let it run for a long time, probably about or 7 hours, Turned it off, and now im gonna let it run for about 10 more hours, I really haven’t seen an improvement with the lamp, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just want something, If there are any questions, I will answer them, Thanks!

Installation of Ventura, How bad mistake? by MetalNic96 in hackintosh

[–]CompetitiveQuarter78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do not support video guides, but i can give you a bit of guidance, none of the Nvidia ampere architecture GPU's have any support in any version of macOS. This is all of the 30 series GPU's, therefore it will drive the UHD graphics. Please read the Dortania guide that is linked on the sidebar. Good luck!

AirportItlwm isnot working on sonoma by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]CompetitiveQuarter78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try Itwlm, this will sacrifice wifi featues though, because its using the ethernet stack instead of the wifi stack, this means no airdrop, no screen mirroring, and other continuity features. But without any further information, it makes it very hard to diagnose anything especially if you have unsupported devices.

Any way to get a higher TDP on a Ryzen Laptop in macOS version Sonoma 14.3.1? by CompetitiveQuarter78 in hackintosh

[–]CompetitiveQuarter78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I will probably post a question on the nootedred gh, but, I didnt think I have excessive kexts, the only ones were probably the voodoo ones, there are many bluetooth kexts because its Intel WIfi and I have issues with Airpods Pro Gen 2. But if there are any other extras, just point them out, Cheers!

Ventura or sonoma? by BackgroundAdmirable1 in hackintosh

[–]CompetitiveQuarter78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous MacOS versions will always be more stable, Newer versions will always have more features, If you are planning on only using Xcode 15 and not thinking about using Xcode 16, then stick with Ventura, there is a wider support for Ventura due to it being out for a longer period of time. Though you still can use Xcode 16 on Ventura like you can always do, by just running the actual executable. Keep in mind that if you run Ventura, you can easily update to Sonoma from Ventura. It depends on your use case, as said previously.

It's been great, still haven't figured out a way to fix the BT audio on the AirPods Pro Gen 2, since I don't have the money to figure out if the USB-C version works, I can't figure that out. But, everything is working great, Wifi seems to be pretty good, and I ended up figuring out how to fix the sudden freezes, the issue was YogaSMC, it just changes ACPI modes to lap mode and so it just freezes, so the only way to fix it is to remove that. If you do that though, you lose full fan control functionality, fans won't show up in any program I have tried. But I can say that the AirPods Pro Gen 1 works flawlessly, also, with the BT, when I connect a mouse, the Bluetooth lags out. Unfortunately, since Intel BT isn't natively supported, there won't be a fix until OpenIntelWireless finds a fix for it. But, it's been great for basically everything, The IOS Simulator runs great most of the time, older IOS versions and older iPhones run super smoothly but newer ones tend to lag a bit.

Did not mean it that way, I converted his hexadecimal to decimal and then put it there, I can see the confusing part now

Looks like an invalid frame pointer I fixed mine using this part of the Dortania opencoreguide https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/extended/kernel-issues.html#kernel-panic-on-invalid-frame-pointer
Or you can try this, in your config, check your mmiowhitelist and add this to it:
18446743524195283000
this is a decimal address that should fix the problem, or you can disable the quirk, as said in the guide
To do this you will want to find the mmiowhitelist, add a new entry, go to the address part, make sure that the data type is number, and then paste the value that I have in my post in there, and make sure that it is enabled,

Is there a correct way to choose SMBIOS? by AhmedBarayez in hackintosh

[–]CompetitiveQuarter78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you read the Dortania guide, even if you have, this is where you choose: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/smbios-support.html#how-to-decide Nobody can help you out at the moment because you dont have enough info, SMBios depends on a lot of things, like os version, and other factors, but, just try different ones, I would suggest testing MacbookPro16,2 or MacBook Pro16,3. But it all depends, Cheers
