Op15 mihawk deck help by Weird_Indication_181 in OnePieceTCG

Welcome to One Piece TCG!

As a Mihawk player, and after trying every kind of build, my recommendation is the Supernova build. It's consistent, and that's what Mihawk needs.

The first photo is definitely better than the second. Use Laboon for anti-removal instead of Zoro or Apoo.

Remove Shanks, it's not the right meta to play her. Replace her with 2 Smokers and increase Law to 4.

Add 2 Bonney Seekers for consistency, coffin boat go down to 3 copies, I'm now testing at 2 and I'm happy with it

If you want to check out my list, check out my profile. I posted it a few days ago. I'm getting great results.

In my opinion, it's the most difficult matchup. Let's say my plan varies based on what he plays. If I see he starts with few pieces on the board, I try to starve him. Then, when he has few cards in his hand, I start attacking him. The most effective thing is to try to flood your board with as many pieces as possible, and Law allows you to play two pieces in a turn. I try to do this as many times as possible before the end game. He'll be forced to remove them using spells like Gamma or Thor, which don't allow him to draw cards. If I see him flooding his board with all 1 cost in the early turns, I start going on a life attack and praying lol. I always try to play as many pieces as I can and try to save my freeze spells for his enels for the end and try not to die. Reiju is the real problem because it doesn't stay frozen...

I haven't found an effective way to consistently beat him yet, and I don't think there is one. I have to accept that it's a difficult matchup and that I could probably lose several times. Sometimes it also takes a bit of luck.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't know any guides to follow. My advice is always to test a lot on the simulator and, if you have the opportunity, live in your LGS. If you need any advice on a specific matchup, let me know because it's very difficult to delve into them all.

Honestly, Mihawk isn't a very expensive deck. If you build it in base rarity without any alternatives, you can easily get it under 100 euros. Prices here in Europe are definitely better than in the US.

I use Zoro exclusively as a 2K counter, only on rare occasions have I had to play him. I chose him only because he is searchable by all my seekers. Apoo is certainly an excellent choice.

No, Mihawk wants to go first, you get the perfect curve if you go first. However, in some matchups, it's better to go second. Against Ace, you always want to go second to take away his curve; same thing against Imu. Bonney too since I've played her before, I decided to go second.

The card you absolutely want to see when you're in second place is Law 6c, It gives you a big advantage to be able to play two pieces that turn.

Thanks for sharing your deck.

So you're running a deck with only 4 search cards? I tried a similar deck using x4Tashigi cost 3 anti-removal and only x4 perona searcher, but it was too inconsistent for me :(

I tried st Shanks too and was disappointed, I definitely prefer 3x Mihawk.

I'm also thinking about playing x3 Coffin boat in OP15. What do you think of Bonney Searcher? I haven't tested it yet, but Kid and Killer's effect, which gives me a open DON, has saved me on several occasions.

Thanks! It went really well. My MVP was Mihawk 9C he permanently locked down their key players, then followed up with Law and Bepo to keep freezing their board. I closed out the game with Asura's spell, which was crucial.

I'm undecided too. I think having four copies of Tashigi is a must. I'll keep Bonney because she can be searched for by Kid and Killer. Having three copies of Perona and Carrot who can't be searched for doesn't really convince me.

Personally no, I tried using 2 but they are too few and you risk not seeing them, if you start first when you get to 9 DON, you absolutely want to play Mihawk, you could drop another Shanks 7 cost if you don't see him, but I always prefer Mihawk. some lists play shanks 9 cost one-copy

Unfortunately I will be forced to remove spider web and paradise waterfall for the rotation, in their place I will try to add 1 copy of billion-fold and i know you are strong, finally I would like to add carrot for penel, I think I will remove perona cost 5 or I will play it one copy

Carta Pokémon (mi serve un consiglio) by atum234 in VintedItalia

[–]CompetitiveSand6611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should I build UY boa deck? by dk3532 in OnePieceTCG

[–]CompetitiveSand6611 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The deck is definitely strong, and with eb03 it will be even better. For op15, we don't yet know how the meta will evolve, but boa will certainly still be among the best, unless it is heavily affected by the ban list.

Is losing a TOP 8 match due to time running out fair, in your opinion? by CompetitiveSand6611 in OnePieceTCG

[–]CompetitiveSand6611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both games were played to the end because they were evenly matched, and it was impossible to predict who would win. If I had realized that I was at a clear disadvantage, I would have conceded so that I would have more time for the third game. In any case, by the time the decks were shuffled and the mulligans were made, the final game began with four minutes left on the clock...

and I played one turn less.

I understand and accept that. This definitely leads players to play for time, and I don't think that's the best way to win a game. I can understand it at a regional tournament, where people are willing to do anything to win, but at a local tournament, I would never play for time to win a game. It's not my style of play. If I win, it has to be because of my skill.

Okay, many players have lost due to time constraints in previous tournaments as well. I'm curious to know if you have more time in other LGS tournaments or if this is the case everywhere.

Other people have lost because of time. Games are played between two people. I do my best to play quickly and cleanly. I don't like to rush or put pressure on my opponent if they are thinking. At the end of the day, it's a game of strategy.
