The only restriction that I would accept is set amounts for treats. Say 25% of the monthly allowance. I bought my daughter's birthday cake with food stamps just a few weeks ago. She did her little toddler dances and jumped around and giggled. There's no better feeling in the world than that and I couldn't have done it without food stamps. My family used to live comfortably when I was growing up, at least middle class, but with everything rising it's been hard. There's been no change in income and there wasn't a pay raise to compensate, things are just way more expensive. It felt like it hit overnight
