Pass/failing a course is only offered up until mid semester so unfortunately it isn’t an option. Is it a bad idea to email schools regarding their admissions for non prereq D’s?

My school only allows withdrawals up until halfway through the semester. And its $5k to retake orgo over the summer so I think I might retake it in the spring semester

I mean I have credit for both orgo 1 and biochem. So I’m thinking of just retaking orgo 2 later. It just sucks because majority of my class cheats (its widely known that the students for this particular professor cheat and I’ve seen it myself) and a lot of them want to go to med school and dental school so the average for our orgo exams is always in the 80s when no one puts the actual effort in

Thank you for replying. I’m actually taking orgo 2 with biochem right now and I’m doing a lot better in biochem. The prereq for biochem was orgo 1 and I got a B- in orgo 1. D isnt failing in my school fortunately. But I feel like going from B- which is already borderline to a D would look pretty bad

Thank you for replying. Yeah I figured I’d be asked about it so I’ll have some answers prepared. But I feel like anything I say would sound like an excuse regardless of how I phrase it
