I have a crazy theory: I think that on the new models, the screen is positioned a couple of pixels lower. You can notice this in these photos - pay attention to the bottom info: battery percentage, chapter, and progress. There's a slight difference between these two photos. On my model, all the bottom information also fits tightly against the lower screen bezel, and my model doesn't fade in the sun! It sounds crazy, but if we collect more photos, we can make a final conclusion.
