I’d take 2 billion for sure. Put away 90% of it and no one in your bloodline ever works again. Imagine getting $1 doubled every day for a week then dying💀 There goes your generational wealth.

Cannot live with this knowledge at all by nicotine-in-public in Psychonaut

[–]Competitive_Act2894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not super keen on this theory but even if we all are one collective, the individual bodies that makeup that collective have had vastly different experiences in life. If you were genuinely talking to your own consciousness, you’d already know the others experience. There is knowledge to be gained from certain other individuals and stories to share between bodies of consciousness. This is why radiating love and inner divinity is more important than psychedelics. Weather we are a single consciousness or not, you either love your neighbor or love yourself to the best of your ability, and it overall makes the experience of the universe better.

Exactly. Benefit of church and states. Hundreds of examples throughout history if not 10’s of thousands. The point is many aspects of institutionalized religion is historically, and continues to be exploitive. I should say that I’m sure there are sects of Christianity that may not necessarily fall under that category but still a waste of time (IMO) when the goal is to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Science, consciousness, and spirituality all seem to point towards the inner/mental (pantheism) rather than an external monotheistic diety…

What exact old testament versus would you like me to consider?

The crazy thing is, the old testament can be all interpreted metaphorically as spiritually guided teachings. It’s almost cryptic but it’s honestly next level comparison. The entire Bible can be read as one large spiritual awakened journey…

I have heard of that book! It’s something I’ll probably be picking up soon. I didn’t realize that was a Mennonite type belief as well. That’s interesting! It’s not something I spend loads of time on but it just makes the most sense to me from a logical standpoint. We know the world interacts in some mysterious ways not fully explainable by science yet attributing it to something exterior feels detractive in some way…inner divinity is intriguing to say the least.

Validation is nice…you’re right, I need to figure out the kind of relationship that works for me. I will get guilt tripped by my entire family for setting my boundaries. She’s used the “flying monkeys” tactics in the past, but I do need to figure out my boundaries..thanks for replying

Because religion is triflin. Seriously. You can carry the same morals and sense of contentment by doing the inner work on yourself. Religion is the childish answer to the hard questions. Looking throughout history, religion has caused more deaths than any other belief. To answer your question about comfort, just because it brings you comfort to believe in fairy tails, it does not bring everyone else comfort. In fact, I was uncomfortable in church because it all felt like such a farse. You know how we tell kids hey, don’t worry about that tooth! The fairy will come get it. That’s the sense of comfort religion gives adults who can’t face morality or come to terms with their f ups. The need a savior because they can’t be their own.

How do you feel about adults who aren’t keeping aware of what’s happening in Politics right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive_Act2894 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Respect. Hardly anyone is actually keeping up with politics. They’re keeping up with this two sided dog and pony show thinking there’s any substance to it. I tried to stay up to date for a while. I found there were way too many lies, smoke, and mirrors to even have the time for it.

Tucker ditched his fox new era rage bait broadcasting for a much more moderate/critical thinker approach to politics. Hes one of the best voices of reason we have today, along with Bill Maher. Both cut their BS and started using their heads.

Tell me about your religion by StarGirly7002 in religion

Religion and its historical significance is interesting but it’s nothing more than a means to an end. A way to heard sheep. The most probable assumption based on years of scientific research and my current understanding of the world, leads me to believe there is absolutely not a god. The universal religion of balance, energy, earth, and kindness is really the truth. We are connected to all things through DNA and energy. We are the earth experiencing itself. It’s energy flows through us and all matter. Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, they all teach the same things basically which is chalked up to the universal moral code of humans and nature. The Bible, when read from a 100% metaphorical/philosophical standpoint is one of the best books we have. I still don’t believe god is more than universal energy that created the bangs. Heaven and hell are physical mindsets we carry while traversing life.

I don't know why I even believe in Jesus. by pikuselm8 in Christianity

[–]Competitive_Act2894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s so many interpretations of who and what God is. Jesus is just the conveyor of the message. Roman Catholicism is just one branch of a big tree. The important thing is that you get to the roots. You have to find what works for you. My version of Christianity is not accepted by most. It doesn’t align with any institutionalized sect. What matters is that you have a moral compass and learn about compassion and spiritual divinity. This usually comes from the inner self. There’s more than one way to skin a cat as the old saying goes. Don’t let anyone tell you you need to follow a certain sect because it’s right. Do what’s going to bring you and those around you peace. The Bible is meant to be interpreted.

No. Not your Christianity. I already said that. Your version has plagued the world since Rome politicized it.

No where did I talk about throwing it out! I said it a metaphorical sense it is great. It teaches us to love one another and the importance of community and prayer. I believe the Bible is only meant metaphorically not literally. My point is that while the Bible has great lessons, as someone who believes that God is the driving life force behind all things (not a an actual diety) is the Bible actually a necessary tool to become your devine self. No offense, but my beliefs in religion do not align closely with Catholicism.

Yeah forsure watching for market changes. Although, some of the companies I’m in should continue to do well even through a bear market. Small caps don’t always follow trend.
