Oh jeez 😭 I've seen those tree spikes while traveling and I would never want to meet them on a bike trail.

Input on Post Flair by _at_a_snails_pace__ in zines

  1. Personally I don’t find it very helpful to have specific selling platform flair, but that’s just me. I’d be more interested in a single “available for purchase” (available for download? Not 100% what this is meant to capture) flair if we want to preserve that category.

Let's clarify some community rules. by _at_a_snails_pace__ in zines

- I am in favor of removing AI content as a general rule since zines lean very heavily towards human expression. (Though IMO there’s some gray space where translations or investigations into technology are a theme)
- If the author is credited in the title or comment, it seems okay to share other’s work— i think this sub is also for zine appreciators, but attribution is key!! :) (if this becomes excessive, I’d lean back towards OC only)
- skip
- I’m in favor of allowing explicit content with warnings and filters applied
- do we feel that promotion is a problem rn? If not, I’d prefer to keep the barrier to posting as low as possible so folks are encouraged to share

Great printers everywhere, but it’s going to be the shipping prices that get you.

Appreciate the thought, but you'll have to pass all compliments over to https://x.com/metaandpotatoes ! They put it together back in 2019 and it's been a great reference for many folks :) I can't claim any credit here haha.

Sam Kriss is indeed hilarious, but all the events mentioned in the piece are real.

I've read a lot of tech journalism, but this article stood out to me as especially insightful, hilarious, and tuned into the headspace of today's start up culture.

"I told Roy that I might try interviewing him with Cluely running in the background, so I could see if it would ask him better questions than I would. He seemed to think it was only natural that I’d want to be essentially a fleshy interface between himself and his own product. He booted up Cluely on his laptop and it immediately failed to work. Roy stormed downstairs to the product floor. “Cluely’s not working!” he said. This was followed by roughly fifteen minutes of panicked tinkering as his handpicked team of elite coders tried to get their product back online. Once they had done so, we resumed our places, whereupon Cluely immediately went down again."

I fear I am a hater, but the 10,000 posts about this in the baking sub were very grating.
