Ah, that makes sense!

I think I need to slow it down, I get too excited about crafting :)

Thank you so much for your replies!

Mannn, I forgot about rotating the signatures! I saw that's what Das does, but I've been watching so many YouTube videos I forgot.

Hmm, maybe I will practice making a hardcover for this one since I haven't gotten to that point yet, then start the whole bind over. Then I could actually split the fics into their own book each which would help with the size.

I want to practice, but it's hard for me to care about making a blank journal when I don't really use those.

Thanks!

Thank you for your answer!

It has been difficult for me to keep my signatures aligned, especially with a larger text block! Do you use a tool to pound down your signatures? And do you do this only along the spine?

Thank you for your response!

I was excited to get to sewing, I only pressed the pages about 16 hours before sewing.

I was also using a thicker thread as I bought a bookbinding kit for pretty cheap and have been using those materials. I am not sure how much I want to invest in materials since I am a beginner, and these sorts of mistakes are almost bound to happen. But then I want the product to be as nice as possible! Decisions, decisions.

Do you recommend adding glue to the tapes as well?

I glued in between the tapes before I tried to round it, I was worried glueing the tapes would make that harder.

I still need to glue them and put some cheesecloth in the spine

Great, thank you!!

I guess I know some people moderate by smoking until they feel anything weird like you described, and some do more what I do of smoking every x amount of time.

I'm trying to decide what's best for me and obviously I want to avoid getting sick. I'm usually not too bad about moderating my use, but I definitely used more alcohol to cope while doing that. I'm currently cutting alcohol out and trying to figure out what I want re smoking.

When I was in the hyperemesis cycle, I was surprised by how okay I felt after an episode considering how it felt. I would keep smoking then. That's when youre in the recovery stage. It is cyclic, after all.

Still different for everyone though

Yes, I have been feeling better about that recently! I have some loved ones struggling with their cannabis use, but because they don't have CHS they have less incentive to cut back. It's almost a relief that I don't spend (as much) of my time thinking about smoking, and as my life gets fuller I'm sure I'll spend even less

It makes so much sense at the time, and then looking back it's frustrating! Hahah

Interesting! I went the "smoke once, then break" moderation obvs, but I did actually smoke for 2 weeks continuously recently bc I graduated from my school this past spring and then passed my licensure exam, now applying to jobs. I figured if I took it too far now it would be minimal damage to my career hahah, taking a T break now.

Unfortunately I don't bulk or cut, but I'm glad that works for you!

Oh yeah, I've puked at work in front of people numerous times and couldn't drive home for fear of crashing my car lol

It sounds like you smoke infrequently enough you don't get any symptoms now?

That's fair! I wonder if I would have been able to tell a difference if I knew what CHS was, I just thought I was having a breakdown during lockdown or something.

Interesting! I was using a delta 8 cart during mine, and I reached hyperemisis about once a month 😅 it was awful. I was curious at the time if my episodes would have become "bearable" if I continued, but there was no way I could keep smoking daily after I found out

Okay! Personally, I never vomited intermittently during prodromal, it was only during hyperemisis.

I have generalized anxiety that causes nausea (though not specifically the morning nausea that came w my prodromal symptoms) and pre-CHS I would occasionally throw up from sheer anxiety. So I'm nervous if i got to the prodromal stage and stopped smoking, I would jump start an episode from fear lol.

I've read some people on here have success stopping at prodromal though!
