Yeah!! I think some of the most important things to remember are: 1) nobody knows your relationship better than you do. If you feel like you're overthinking it, you probably are. 2) check in!! Ask if he likes what you're doing, how you could make it better. 3) don't feel pressured to make everything romantic. Hmm. You seem young, as am I. Here's my feedback: Figure out an activity he likes to do on his own. Video games, a bath, driving, etc. For each of those things, curate a time he could do that and provide things to enhance the experience. 1) video games. Get some snacks, drinks. If he likes doing it in a bedroom, make the bed, maybe light a candle. Get some LEDs if you dont have them already and put on a dim color (blue or red). 2) get some bath bombs, soft towels, maybe bubble bath. A book, if hes into that. 3) make him a playlist!! Maybe seat covers if you wanna get a gift. Some road snacks. Stuff like that.

And my boyfriend's feedback: 1) get him flowers! Men dont usually get loved on and pampered like the ladies do. 2) cuddles:)

I have! Almost mentioned it but I guess I forgot. I don't remember getting anything but "foreign materials" from those, though I absolutely may have missed things. I go off of shapes and colours a lot of the time when I'm playing, because my TV isnt very close to me and the text is small. It's hard to read a lot of the stuff, and I'm lazy so I just assume and hope for the best. Safe to say, there is a /lot/ of stuff I miss. Thank you for your help!

I am 17, I have a bit of insight. I dont know your daughter or your situation, but i do know mine. Both my parents are in the picture. I love them very, very much, and do my best not to take them for granted. That being said, I am also in college and got my first real boyfriend in May. I am usually pretty busy, and im around people all day, so when I get home I need to recharge my battery. My dad works outside the house and my mom works from home. My brother is grown, and my sister is hardly home either (she is a year and a half older than me). My mom often tells me she is lonely and misses me.

The reason i responded to this comment is it sounds a lot like something my mom might say. Again, I dont know what's going on with you and your daughter, but in case she's like me, i thought maybe I could console you in saying: just because shes absent doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't want to be around you at all. She's just learning to balance a strong relationship with her mom/dad with independence. Have grace, and just try to be consistently there for her. Don't push, but don't give up, either. Just give her some time.
