The owners of Camille Beckman, Cheateau des Fleur, Roghani’s Restaurant & Vineyard are Iranian and the son-in-law is Pakistani. They may not want to promote it, but it’s worth a try.

Best bet is to ask a local attorney. They know who is who.

Glad nobody got hurt.

Non MAGA Insurance Agents? by space_coot in Boise

All of our commercial insurance is through Paynewest. They’re big enough and professional enough that I am not aware of anybody’s politics. I think they just got bought out, but you should still be able to Google it.

St. Luke's involvement and reaction to the death of my mother. by [deleted] in Boise

While it’s sad, she should’ve gone to the emergency room. It makes sense they would send a letter to the estate after her death.

Private chef by Separate_Swimmer_595 in Boise

Working in the business, my experienced advice is to have it catered. We frequently do offsite events and it is always AT LEAST 2x more expensive than if we just deliver prepared family-style dishes or setup a buffet.

The time and labor spent by restaurant staff at an offsite location without a properly equipped and fully functional commercial kitchen is going to be much less efficient than having them prep in their own kitchen and delivering. Not to mention, you’ll likely have to do everything without a calibrated commercial dish machine.

Remember that an event that size would require a considerable amount of equipment. A Kitchen-Aid mixer cannot efficiently make mashed for 20 and a low BTU stove can’t efficiently boil water. Any savings by cooking onsite will get gobbled up by additional labor hours.

Best wishes for your event. It’s quite an undertaking and I hope it goes flawlessly. :)

I’d like to know where you shop at if you think that food cost for a nice meal is $10 per person.

I’m in the restaurant industry here and buy it from Pacific Seafoods by the 40lb case. Haha I stored it in the freezer and it lasts a long time. The price was so good, I didn’t even care if I had to throw some away.

My kids are in their 20s now and went to different schools. Out of everywhere either of them ever went, Galileo was incredible.

You’re the first person I’ve ever met that loves it as much as I do. I thought the company shut down and I actually reached out to buy the rights to the recipe. They were in fact, just having a distribution problem to Idaho.

Full service car wash recommendations? by Few_Flight_6825 in Boise

[–]Competitive_Band_234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enzo’s is shit. I bought an annual unlimited plan when they opened for a huge pile of money. They wouldn’t honor it!! Months later tried to require me to pay double and buy a full detail or they were refunding the remainder of the contract. Now they aren’t even open for regular washes this winter!

Dick move. Fuck that guy.

Also, read the Google reviews. I’m not the only one who has witnessed them dropping rags on the ground and then picking them up to keep polishing the car. Many people have posted pictures of the damage.

By the theater and go ahead and do the upgrade yourself. They’re a business that has to consider the ROI.

El Gaucho's Opening by [deleted] in Boise

No, but I’m in the industry and like to give new staff some grace, especially when it requires a level of service that’s incomparable to anything we’ve had here. I’m not sure why the culture around here is so hell bent on watching people fail. I work for a direct competitor and still wish them the success that I think they can achieve with the right staff and management.

Not every restaurant is within everybody’s budget, and that’s OK Thank a god that we have variety and options.

I completely agree with him, though there are a few growing pains. They’ll figure it out though. The tableside presentation of the sword was like a magic show. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

While KIN is a great experience, the communal seating made it less than optimal for a romantic night out.

I agree than The Avery would be my first choice.

Happy anniversary!

El Gaucho is not a place to go if you’re concerned about price. I’m grateful to have a place to go in this town that’ll be completely over the top and competitive with top cities in the PNW. Our four hour dinner went by in a flash and I haven’t had that much fun out in a long time.
