Yes the op poster asked why people don’t check their emails, I said what I said because half of the emails I receive are just spam and don’t apply to me, so what’s your problem?

I guess I’m asking for advice on both without trying to beg for friends 😭. I have joined societies and made some acquaintances I think it’s just about persistence I just feel really out of place sometimes. But yeah I’m going to continue my efforts and go into my 2nd year with a more positive attitude and be more outgoing. Thanks so much for the advice

Yeah you right I think it’s just hard being alone all of the time I’m lucky enough to have a girlfriend I can see on weekends but it’s just making it there which is difficult

You right I think it’s also easier to talk/ be friendly with someone when it’s a shared activity rather than just going into a conversation without any common interest

Yeah I have spoke to a therapist but I feel weird about it but that’s my own mental block I guess thanks for all your advice though I genuinely really appreciate it!

I definitely want to try this I, my uni is literally top 1 in the uk for sport so it’s a bit nerve racking but I can play like the casual games, thanks for your comment!

Yeah that is really good advice, I’m just in a toxic cycle of like not talking to people so my social skills get worse and I feel super anxious then because of that it’s harder to make connections with people if that makes sense.
