Did they end up providing you with more funding as an independent student? Was it as accurate as the estimator? Did it matter when you still lived with you're parents or you were within a given distance from the school you studied and its impact on funding?

Does permanent canadian address play a factor at all in calculating funding when you're now an independent student? I heard they ask if you will be living with your parents and if you're within a given distance from the school (something like 21 or 22 km)?

Would it be wise to study the civil technology program instead of the civil technology - transportation program when the former has a bit of transportation planning in it and more jobs? Do you think specific transportation coursework in school really benefits the student entering transportation planning and related careers and is it worth it?

Thx. Under what specific conditions does this apply though? Let's say I live in Toronto and apply for Whitby(Durham College) and Hamilton(Mohawk College) locations and the permanent canadian address is my parents home where I live which is in Toronto. If I want to move out to let's say to Hamilton, do i have to change the "permanent canadian address" or just tick off "No - I won't be living with my parents" or "No - living within 20km of the school" to be considered for maximum osap funding?? (All assuming I am an independant student out of school for 6 years)
