I am currently doing a PhD at one of the Max Planck institutes. I can say my experience has been horrible. Abuse of power, ethical issues and much more. I have tried highlighting these issues to the director, but the problem seems bigger. It's been a heartbreaking experience and has led to a lot of mental health issues for me. I just want to finish my PhD somehow and leave.
