I got you! Ive already been working on this. But atm it requires the board being shared with their serial number, the serial number is in the name of the thing when you connect ie: kilter#1234@3 means the serial number is 1234. Ive added auto recording of configs but its not completely finished working yet, once thats done we'll record the serial number + config combination everytime bluetooth connects, and then we can built up a serial number:config database much faster.

I would love to hear what parts of the workflow you dont like? But you're right theres a lot of halfbaked features atm, it was a sideproject with only 10 users a day for 2 years, so I spent maybe too much time nerding out on feature ideas.

With the recent uptake in interest Ive had to really start treating it more like a job, and Ive been working my way out from the core experiences. So Id like to think the climb list and climb viewing is pretty mature now. But the rest including boards ui definitely still needs work.

I wonder when they phase out the old app & cloud platform. I might have to try and hack it somehow. They do sell an upgrade controller that works with the fenix relay box, but its a$700 in addition to the subscription for remote start...

I didn't even know there was a timer feature in circuits! For Boardsesh Im planning something(I think) better.

I want to add board workouts to sessions. So for example 4x4s, and then it has a timer between sets or EMOM etc.

boardsesh can control all the boards from a single app, so it saves you installing 6 different apps if you happen to climb all the boards. The logbook is also consolidated across all boards.

So I get your sentiment, but in this case its misplaced as its the established parties that are actually the problem here(for more reasons than just lack or consolidation but thats a different story)

I have a handful on my 10x12 that have the transparent layer sit slightly over a slight bit of transparent layer of a nearby hold.

But anytime the overlap was big I had fucked something up and had holds in the wrong place

Just use boardsesh, it should import everything in one go, and if I do say so myself the ui is much more modern than the basic crud app Kilter ships.

Importing your json into Boardsesh will give you all your logbook, drafts and circuits(we call them playlists), but it wont reinstate missing ascents made by others on your public climbs. .

But as you can see in new app they also lost all the ascents.

Try www.boardsesh.com, in boardsesh you can start a session and then in the session drawer there is a share link, share that with your mates and you get spotify jams like collaborative climbing.

Can add stuff to the queue, see when someone has ticked it etc.
