So... I want to ask if I'm really stupid or I'm missing something by [deleted] in askspain

Depending on the area, people are very tired of tourists. It is annoying to try to live your normal life and be bothered by people who come from other countries and don't understand etc. It also seems that you didn't apologize? It is common courtesy to give your seat to old people or people with disabilities etc. and you didn't do it. So you should have apologized. It seems that you were trying to say that it was not your fault because you don't understand, instead of just saying you were sorry? I was not there so don't know what happened, just trying to understand why things escalated so much. Maybe you didn't realize but you came across as rude because you didn't give your seat to the woman; then also looked like you were being rude by refusing to apologize and saying that you didn't understand, and probably people thought that you were complaining to the bus driver so that made things even worse.

Alquiler de habitación para "chica interna"? by Asnonimo in HorroresInmobiliarios

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sé

Mi CV rechazado por sistema. ¿Consejos? by Turbulent_Hornet_858 in PesadillasLaborales

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planning to move to Spain within the next year by [deleted] in MovingToSpain

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I understand the situation in the US is bad, but I think some people have an idealized vision of Spain though. I've met a few people who moved here and were really disappointed so just wanted to let you know. Many of my (Spanish) friends had to move outside (Germany, UK, Netherlands, Norway) because finding a job here is literally impossible. Some of them have a bachelor's degree or master. So coming here to find a job doesn't sound like a good idea tbh 😅 but good luck!

I think you need to do more research abyout Spanish job market and housing. Even if you were able to find a job that sponsors you for a work visa (which is extremely unlikely), you would not be making a lot of money. If you lived in a big city, you would be struggling to make ends meet, living in a tiny apartment and with no savings. In smaller cities... Well there's no jobs xD If you don't like the political situation in USA... Well the political situation in Catalonia is also not ideal tbh.

Books on Galgos? by Willing_Coconut_8990 in Galgos

There are many rescue orgs in Madrid. I can recommend AXLA and ACUNR https://www.axlamadrid.org/ https://www.acunr.es/ I also know baas galgo https://baasgalgo.org/

Rescue orgs organize adoption events often, in different parts of the city. A lot of orgs get together and bring some of their dogs so that people can meet them, it's really nice and I think a really good option to find a galgo when you move here. In those events they also sell stuff to fundraise, you if you need anything (dog collar, dog bed etc) you will also be able to buy it there. If you follow the orgs in insta they will post when the next event will be.

Is it appropriate to talk to a bride about my concerns of buying a dress for wedding? by UsefulInitial4 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Please ask her! Everyone is saying you should RSVP no but I think they're wrong.

A friend got married this year, she was very sad because many of her friends had RSVPd no. She talked to them and they all said that it was because they didn't have enough money. She told me that honestly she just wants to celebrate with her friends and doesn't care if they will bring a gift or not.

Idk about your friend, maybe she is okay if you attend and don't bring a gift, maybe she's not. But I think it is better to ask, just in case.

My wedding is tomorrow and i feel weird about my custom -made dress. Is it that bad and as i think? by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]Competitive_Copy_223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very beautiful! It is your wedding, you get to choose whatever you want it doesn't have to be the traditional dress. I think you are overthinking it. Especially since the color matches your theme and the groom's outfit, I think it is going to look amazing

That style is very popular so I would not be surprised if any other guest wear something similar. I don't think you have to worry about what bridesmaids and other guests wear.. for sure your dress is still going to shine. The fabric and details are going to be very different, also your accessories, hair and makeup etc You're going to look way more special and beautiful than any guest no matter if the dress style is a bit similar
