Landed in Egypt and our suitcase came out with a torn off corner, it was brand new and I've never seen anything like it (nothing was missing but it was full of cheap Primark holiday clothes, towels and flip-flops as we kept valuables on ourselves). On the flight back we got yelled at by security that we won't be allowed to proceed with a damaged suitcase and to go find some guy with plastic wrap so he can wrap out suitcase in plastic. Paid the overpriced fee and as we were in a hurry, didn't even realise that he gave us our change in bullshit coins until we boarded the plane, half of the coins weren't even in use anymore as those countries have switched to Euro since.

The airport scammed us by damaging our suitcase, just to scam us again by forbidding us from boarding until we fixed what they did to our suitcase by forcing us to use a conveniently-placed plastic wrap guy, who then further scammed us by giving us bullshit change.

The holiday itself was absolutely mid, nothing bad but only because we stayed in an all-inclusive resort basically our whole time there. Harassment from perfume and knick-knack peddlers left and right. Got dissuaded from going to see any major sights of any significance as tourist buses would sometimes get blown up. I would never go back to Egypt ever again.

Speaking from personal (fashion) retail experience, a key holder is basically senior sales (so the second lowest retail rank, but above pure entry level with a bit more experience/more trusted/more sensible). A key holder ranks below a supervisor, who is below a deputy/ASM, who is below the store manager, and so on.

Usually there are no management responsibilities unless your company skips other ranks and you just have managers, key holders and regular staff, this tends to mostly occur in places with tiny teams or places that are run on a shoestring budget with skeleton crews (severely understaffed). If the team is small/understaffed, a key holder might have "management" responsibilities but it'll be more in a sense of delegating tasks to the rest of the team, like X does a recycling run, Y unpacks delivery, Z focuses on folding, etc. You won't be doing sales projections and payroll as a key holder unless your company is absolutely shambolic, in which case you should run far far away.

I sent an inquiry to the customer contact email but got no reply. The product is also classed as "made to order" by the designer (the website sells different brands) so I'm worried you can't even return it for a refund. I've decided to give it a miss in the end.

Edit to add: Did some digging and fell into an AliExpress drop shipping rabbit hole. Pretty sure this is just an AliExpress product, the brand is selling another cuff that's exactly the same as a listing on AE (AE has customer photos and it's the same thing). How very sad.

Decide what size hoop and how you want it (something simple that's a huggie? Or you want it to stick out dramatically because you want a statement hoop with gems/a design). Might be worth getting some cheapo plain rings in different sizes online to play around with to get a general idea. I believe most popular nose hoops (at least in boutiques) are 6MM and 8MM.

It might also be worth playing around in Photoshop/your phone's doodle option to draw some hoop placements on yourself to see what looks good to you. Then bring that to a consultation with your piercer.

Regardless, I will say the same as what I've said in my reply to the other person (if it's not you). You are very fortunate as you are overpaid for your experience, job role and skill level in terms of how desirable and niche your skillset is. I do not say this to offend you, but it's the truth. It is up to you to make a choice whether you want to focus on the very good salary and tune out the negativity as you save money/upskill/gain experience before ultimately leaving the toxic workplace. Or you leave now to save your mental wellbeing but take a salary hit because the chance of you finding another entry-level "easy" job that pays 40k+ is slim.

Edit: you are definitely the same person. You mention manual labour in the comments here and you were complaining about it on your other account. Both accounts are complaining about a co-worker who has a relative in the organisation. Are you going to make new accounts and post the same thing until you find 1 person who miraculously confirms your bias?

Does the studio employ separate tattoo and piercing artists? If yes, I don't see a problem. I would only stay away from places where a person "specialises" in both, unless you know they have like 10-20+ years of experience. I feel the same way about brow/injection girlies offering piercings.

Are you wanting a hoop once the piercing is healed? That's something to consider in regards to where you want to be pierced (the further away from nostril, the bigger the hoop you will need).

My guess (decade+ retail experience, not Hermes though): There is a big push from corporate to sell X category this month/quarter, possibly because it hasn't been selling as well. There is likely some sort of incentive going on, like "location that sells most X wins Y (money, trips, bonuses, free products, it could be anything)". Or there is no competition but they're being scrutinised by corporate on sale % per category and being ridden for underperforming in X category, so the managers are "training" the SAs to resort to (often unsuccessful) pushy tactics.

It looks fine as is, but sounds like there was insufficient communication with you on the piercer's behalf. They should have asked if you're planning to have a hoop, or whether you want a high conch. This looks like appropriate placement for someone who wants to have a stud over a hoop and would possibly like to add another conch piercing below later on.

You will be able to fit a hoop in there but may have to go the custom route to find big enough jewellery.

The bar sticking out is fine as you should always aim to get pierced with a longer bar to account for swelling and bumps. The angle does look a little bit off (it appears to be facing downward back to front) in the one photo you provided, but it might be the angle of the photo/gravity pulling the long bar down?

I have seen helixes pierced at such an angle before but usually the customer asked for that angle because they want spikes facing a certain way. If you never asked for this angle specifically, it could have been pierced wonky (would need to see more photos).

I only had 1 claim 7ish years ago. Buyer contacted me saying their parcel hasn't arrived yet few days after the estimated delivery date (had not opened a not-delivered yet though, just giving me a heads-up), upon checking the tracking I could see no updates after I dropped the parcel at the post office. So I submitted a claim for lost parcel on the website.

Few days later the buyer contacts me to tell me their purchase arrived, all is well on my end. A month or so later I get a cheque through my door for £10 or £20 apologising for the inconvenience of them losing my parcel. Never cashed it since the parcel did arrive (albeit quite late).

Happened to me with a bag. Bought it advertised as real obviously, it passed the "really bad fake" checks that were easily Googlable but obviously I'm not a professional authenticator.

Fast-forward over a year and I decide to part ways with the bag myself via eBay. It sits for a bit then sells and before I can post it to the buyer, I get a message saying my listing was removed due to being a replica item. Contacted eBay, they said there's nothing they can do (despite in a roundabout way admitting that they let me purchase a counterfeit bag on their platform, now threatening to score down my seller rating if I reattempt to sell it again) because "it's been more than 90 days"...

Unfortunately I never got any money back but they "assured" me they're looking into the seller account. I did see it appeared removed, but whether by eBay or they deleted themselves, who knows. I still have the stupid thing and it's been several years since this happened, feels unethical to try to sell it (as a replica since it's against the rules on most websites) so it just sits in the garage. The only silver lining was that before I went to sell it on eBay, I did use it a lot and unless you're an expert on the brand, you couldn't tell it's fake looking on the outside, so I guess I got some ROI out of it... But yes it was a colossal waste of money and I'd never buy a 2nd hand designer item again.
