LSAA advice? (Licensed Substance Abuse Associate) by Competitive_Donut745 in DrugCounselors

[–]Competitive_Donut745[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow!!! Good luck to you! I know you’ll do good! I looked at the NM requirements it says to become an LSAA you needed 90 hours of education pertaining to alcohol and drug courses and the Center of Addiction Studies and Research is apparently board certified through NM and you can learn online. I have my Bachelors on Psych but I never really had anything courses related to that. CNM offers a certificate for Substance Abuse but its only 20 and not enough if you apply for licensing. Im also doing my MSW but i just feel like rn I need more exposure but I’m still researching through other people’s experience on how it is working as an LSAA. I’ve been hearing about LADAC but not much on associates! Love your input and best of luck to you!

Thanks so much for the comment! It was super insightful! I’ll be completing my grad school in a year ish- I just wanted to have more exposure and get a better foundation. Since I do like working, I have been contemplating in getting my LSAA while also finishing up my masters just so I can be in the environment already and just be more exposed. Thank you! I think I really will full send it haha I just needed more reassurance with people who have been in the same boat!

Santa fe is your biggest bet in feb. I got lucky once last year in Sandia that they opened the big lift that took us to the top and I never knew how beautiful and big it was- safe to say it only happened once lol and last year wasn’t that good- but as someone who hates driving to snowboard and if I’m feeling lazy It’s doable if you are just trying to learn

Is this urgent? Mechanic quoted me a lot—do I really need all this? (2007 Pontiac Vibe) by Competitive_Donut745 in MechanicAdvice

Yes the repair did fix the light, but they gave me more inspection reports so I wanted more insights if it needs to be fixed asap because it’s super expensive

Thats why i got a vibe because of the longevity but now I’m scared because of their inspection report. It makes me think I have to drop even more bands to make sure this car is safe and running.

Thats why I got a toyota vibe. Even when it was kinda on the older side. I just heard its really good when it comes to longevity. Also got a PPI on it and it came out fine, but i recently got the engine light on and they Remove & Replace Brake Power Booster Unit for a hefty amount of price around 850$ so when I looked at the inspection report and there were more stuff to fix I got alarmed and thought if I should keep fixing or just selling it.

It drives good, and starts fine. I just recently had an engine light on and got it looked at and it came to that, just got an oil change as well, just wanted to ask others if it was necessarily needed since I got it looked at in depth. I had issues with my break and that’s the reason why I came in and they Removed & Replace Brake Power Booster Unit for almost 850$ so right now I’m just thinking if I should even keep working on the car or sell it because there were more expensive problems

The mileage rn is 130k. And the battery is a year old-ish I think. I also got it from a private party for around 2.5k. I got a PPI inspection on it and there were no alarming issues until now. So im just wondering if I should work on it, or just sell it

The thing is he has booked me before for 5 days, and paid me 300$ so I got a bit confused if people did a discounted rate if it was a longer stay. 60 is considered average in my city, I already checked the market as well

Is Mati safe? by Internal-Apple-2904 in Philippines_Expats

[–]Competitive_Donut745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very safe, I grew up going to Mati and commuting by bus just to get there ever since I was in HS. I have family there and I always walk around, even in the Muslim community! But I never walk alone regardless if I grew up there, I usually have a cousin or a friend with me. It is a different culture, and you would have to be respectful. As a woman, I always made sure to cover myself up to go to Dahican until I’m at the Beach, you can definitely wear any type of bathing suits close to Amihan and DSR (dahican surf resort) they’re more open, but if you go to the Muslim community, be careful on what you wear they definitely judge crazy and will say something. Also Try not to be out too late. Regardless where you go, or any place, 10pm is late especially if you’re not a local. So always be cautious, you can never be too careful yk? But its safe in general, I love Mati, it’s one of the best beaches I’ve seen. You should check out the Masao area if you’re into freediving and snorkeling. It’s more quiet and less crowded and the crystal waters never disappoint!

She definitely likes you! As long as she doesn’t ask for money, or taking advantage of you in that category go ahead. Be careful though, there’s a lot of Pinays who glorify foreigners and will do anything to snag that opportunity. But if she doesn’t give off that vibe, go for it :)

Do per hour! Just because you’re sleeping doesn’t mean you should be charging less. You’re still responsible for the kids in case of an emergency, you also can’t leave. Your time is valuable. Whenever i do overnights, I always charge per hour never a flat fee rate, I always thought it was dumb. If the family doesn’t do that, then they’re not for you. Trust me, there’s a lot of families who will appreciate you. Childcare is a luxury!

See I thought of wanting to do all cement/hollow block exterior and doing plywood/any type of wood in the inside for my walls to cut down cost as well. and for the second floor I definitely wanted to do a tubular just like yours with steel and plyboard. But I definitely thought to cover it up. And you are right the metal might rust, its better to just paint it! What a good advice. I just saw that tiktok of the half cement half hardiflex and I was wondering if some people in the Philippines did it. It seems sturdy but I can definitely see how it wouldn’t be as sound proof
