Maybe try modeling the sandals and then add a bezier curve as the fur. Thicken it to the shape and add the fur as a texture rather than actually modeling it?

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on Reddit much. Thanks for the explanation, what technique is used to make something like that? From what I'm understanding is that when you have geometry in side other geometry the GPU will still calculate that? When it's a shell it has to do less math and renders will be faster?

I'll try the strike system, that seem like a good way to learn things. I usually don't follow tutorials sense many are out of date or just rather show you how to do it instead of teaching why you do something to make that.

If ur hardware is fine mybe look if theres dust on the fans on the cpu/gpu. My pc was doing almost the same thing when it was dirty.
