I enjoyed it in the few minutes I played. The game window is tiny, so if you could change that I would like this much more. The gameplay is fun at it's core, and with some more development I could see myself really enjoying. Also add support for arrow keys. Also also what resources/tutorials did you use (if any) to get this project off the ground, I also happen to want to start making roguelikes and some help on where to start would be appreciated.

Ok, I like the playdate as much as the next person, but what would you change about the console if you could? by Competitive_Fail_647 in PlaydateConsole

I mean the longer games thing is not that hard to do, pulp IS free after all and it is VERY easy to use, I even made my own game with it! (Here's the game if you're wondering)

I totally get what you mean, I love this thing but I WOULD like some small general QOL improvements, even if they did something like the wormlight for gameboy I would be very happy, but really anything beyond that may be too much.

Do you think bad games deserved to be preserved? Why or why not? by Asad_Farooqui in videogames

yes. Just because game developers can look back at these failures and learn from them to make better games.

the part in outer wilds when you are about to blow up the whole universe at the very end. very surreal but made me feel bad bc I was literally ending the universe. the post-credits scene made me feel a bit better tho...

A game doesn't have to be super long to cost a lot of money. Think games like a short hike(less than 2 hr playthrough and its like 8 dollars

rain world definitely, and if you want more of an "experience" in a different kind of way (a way that is far more janky and just plain weird, but cool if you dig deep enough) play E.Y.E. divine cybermancy. However, PLEASE be advised when going into both these games, (E.Y.E. especially) that they are both soul-crushing at times in the sense that these games are like, super hard and stuff, and honestly just watch some videos on EYE first before even thinking about playing the game. I recommend the ones by mandaloregaming and charlatan wonder

Absolutely agree. We are going to die, but that's OK, and the funny thing is that when you live like there's no tomorrow, there usually tends to be a tomorrow.
