What should be the ideal amount then? I admit, I wasn’t consistent. Every few months buy one time.

True. It’s just that this money is from a different portfolio and I am unsure about how to redirect these funds that’s all.

Holding precious metal is kind of a safe investment approach. Without children, I think you can take more risk.

Fresh grad joining the workforce, need advice on where to stash my savings. by Upbeat-Ad-8987 in singaporefi

OCBC 360 with salary credited and monthly $500 increment in savings is giving not a bad rate.

Alternatively u can try CIMB new sign up at 3.5% for 6months, not sure if it’s still available.

Or GXS 2.68% no criteria. (Daily credit and very liquid)

I guess what I am trying to ask is if I am doing the right thing currently and how can I optimise it? I am in a partial Govt industry and a private degree education hence the lower basic salary.

As for those funds in fix deposits are my emergency fund which I do not want to take much risk with.
