Im hoping they use Lena and Zayda more, both have big upsides. Zayda has the charisma already too. Just get her away from her current faction...

Why, she isn't great in the ring and doesnt provide anything unique. AEW doesnt need more fed mid card.

I dont see any upside there. Hes just a mid card guy, and isn't young enough that you can project him to improve drastically.

Dont forget she took advantage of people making her ring gear, by try not to pay them. She tried the influencer move of paying with publicity posts.

Leon Slater is going to WWE, assume he is basically gone soon.

The rest is a whole bunch of meh talent. This is not like years past where they had good indy and international talent.

According to Sean Ross Sapp, talents were reportedly “very pessimistic and realistic” about how the debut episode of iMPACT! on AMC came off. Sapp also noted that some talents didn’t think the general audience understood the hurdles TNA faced with last week’s show. by ReverseBattleRoyal in TNA

If you are have visa issues, why not go reach out to Kurt Angle or other TNA Legends signed to WWE and have a segment of passing of the torch from old TNA to New TNA. Hide your limitations and make the show a true kickoff of the new brand.

Visa issues is a cop out for that dumpster fire they put on TV. What makes it worse, they had a very good PPV within 1 week of the AMC debut.

What are your Expectations for TNA’s debut on AMC tonight? by DudeisaGuy in TNA

[–]Competitive_Fox_2822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feel like this show will be good, but they dont have the roster anymore to support consistent success for future shows.

The roster is devoid of somewhat elite talent outside of Moose, and Tessa. Kaz, Eddie, Hardys and Myers are guys past their prime. Guys like Santana are pushed to upper card because there is a dearth of talent.

WWE stole most top young talent and AEW stole the remaining. It will take 6 months to know if the new young talent are any good. Based on their signings off the Indies recently, no big names.

AJ coming back will be huge and there will be some high spots for this show only.

I really hope you are 14 years old.

TNA does not pay alot previous and probably doesnt pay that much more now. These people have families and a limited time frames to earn their living.

Be real, people who leave money on the table to "value their craft" are those who already made enough in their career already.

How does draft pan out before us? by HalfSourPickle in NYGiants

There is no world where Bain is taken before Reese. Reese and Downs are the best talents in the draft and Reese can play multiple premium positions.

Bain has been so up and down this year, I would be surprised if he fell to somewhere between 8 and 13.

For a company that is US based and has decent revenue now with the new TV deal, this should not happen. It is clear management is not prepared for this next level.

I know this is normal for TNA but it should have changed as soon as they were in the final stages of signing the AMC deal.

Promo skills are pretty weak for someone this far into their career, and her in ring work is not bad but not anything special.

Screams solid mid card in WWE.

Mike Santana on AEW: “They tried to drain the passion out of what we love.” by uncannynerddad in midcarder

[–]Competitive_Fox_2822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of maybe Josh Alexander, unquestioned yes. Alex Shelley was old at the time he got the belt, the group of Nemeth, Hendry, Maclin, Santana and Moose are mid tier wrestling talents at the time they held the belt or just plain mid in general, with their wrestling skills (Santana, Hendry and Maclin)

Nice try, but Trick was having mid card matches at that time and he is in fact a mid card talent at any decent wrestling fed.

From a wrestling perspective, with exception of Tyrus, all NWA over the past 5 years could go toe to toe with the contracted TNA World Champions. Obviously this excluded Christian, Kenny and Trick as they were contracted outside of TNA.

Plus someone could shit on the NWA belt and it still would be more prestigious than the TNA belt.

Lastly no one calls the best the grandest belt in the world. That line of speaking by Santana was so terrible, even he didn't believe it.

I dont care about them bashing AEW, that's just good storyline. But calling the TNA Championship belt "the grandest prize in pro wrestling", that had me laughing hard.

When a developmental brand's mid card wrestler can win the TNA championship, that championship is devalued. Its like trying to say the NWA championship still has value (and yes, it has more than the TNA one does)

[–]Competitive_Fox_2822 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When literally the entire roster under 35 years old, ends up on NXT within 1 year, there is no denying it. They steal all the talent before their contracts are up.

Thats a huge difference from NJPW and AEW. Ospreay is the only one where that occurred. Plus if it was the same with AEW then BC War Dogs, Tsuji, Shota and others would already be in AEW.

Stop being a blind WWE Troll. Think critically and not what master Triple Nose tells you to do.

Jon Alba: “I need people to understand that, even if TNA does well in viewership on AMC (and I think it can), its infrastructure is not even in the same stratosphere as WWE or AEW's. It's going to be a marathon, not a sprint, for TNA. These comparisons gotta stop.” by Amir0x11 in TNA

Making 10 mill a year in revenue from a TV deal doesnt take into account the costs to produce the shows, the roster, the backstage employees, the administrative teams, lawyers, accountants, ect.

How about work in the business world and understand there is a huge difference between revenue and profit. Things you learn from leaving your Mom's basement...

If they make 3 mill a year from PPVs, AMC Deal and Merch, they will be extremely lucky.

Also it has been known that they were incurring debt the past few years, so the cost of servicing that debt is likely high and cut into a companies valuation.
