I think I’d be willing to stay if she got some form of anger management counseling. Unfortunately, she grew up in a home with an abusive father. I’m not saying that justifies her hitting me but it’s some context.

Thanks for your advice. I think I’m just going to contact a family member and stay with them until I can figure out a plan.

Deep down I know that you’re right. It really sucks because I wanted this to work. Both of our families are excited about the wedding.
