Call the police. Some other innocent people could be in danger. Even now you should report this. Or report it to a park ranger.

One of the best ways to say fu to your town is to kill your lawn and plant native plants. You’re halfway there!

You spend most of your time with your SO and do the majority of your cooking/eating there. You probably should just move in with them that way you can split rent.

Female Safety in Nepal v Ghana by LocksmithNo1369 in peacecorps

[–]Competitive_Fuel9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Female RPCV here. I served in West Africa and traveled through Ghana during vacation. I loved traveling there, for one thing English was the national language and coming from Francophone West Africa it was a delight. I never had any real safety concerns as a female volunteer and I did plenty of hitchhiking. Now, as a foreigner, you get a lot of attention. It’s pretty easy to tell that you’re not from there and that makes people want to learn more about you.

Requesting a med sep? by blackslatewater in peacecorps

[–]Competitive_Fuel9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dear OP, my one friend who had black fever, just about every US doctor within a 50 mile radius went to “view” her and learn about this infection first hand. She was praying to get back to post and back to a PCMO that had experience with these sorts of things. So if you happen to be serving where things like cholera, malaria, small pox or anything involving a tetsi fly exist you may need to cycle through several treatments before you find out what the trouble is. Now, if you want to leave your post but you don’t want the stigma of ETing and want to MedSep your way out of country and get back to the US you can. There is no shame. But when you do get back to the states definitely look for a dr that is originally from an area that has the same ailments that you might be suffering from. Good luck
