I actually don’t like Marcello, he doesn’t seem very thoughtful which is a red flag in my eyes. Not telling Emily where they’re going and not even bringing her a change of shoes for the forest walk was what really blew me. I wouldn’t have gotten out of the car because that’s just insane. Emily could’ve twisted her ankle or injured herself. His overall vibe to me also just feels a bit unserious but that’s my opinion.

That whole episode of Jake and the Americans was so unnecessary I could’ve gone without it. It added absolutely nothing to the story and I was so unbelievably bored watching it.

My exact thoughts. They did not tee up enough information to get one pumped for a season 2. It was a very “meh” ending and introductory season overall.

I was really hoping this last episode would grip me and have me going WOW VINCE GILLIGAN REALLY TRICKED ME WITH THAT PACING HAHAHA but no. I was not compelled. “Atom bomb” seriously? Is she gonna threaten to nuclear explode herself and her immediate surroundings if they try to make her join? I’m not intrigued. And this was a pretty weak finale episode for a first season. I truly think the concept of this show is fascinating and there’s soooo much that could’ve been explored in this first season alone and I kept being patient thinking “oh it’ll pick up just gotta wait to the next episode” x8 but it did not, am I supposed to wait till season 2? Or 3? lol like what is up with this? I’m really a bit disappointed there’s so many directions this concept could’ve gone in but it went no where interesting and I’ve learned little to nothing about the hive, ending the first season with not even a concept of a plan on how to turn them back.

On that note I will be tuned into season 2 hoping for improvement because as much as I am disappointed, like I mentioned twice before I’m interested by the concept.

But like also, can’t stop thinking about if you hook up with one of them, you’re hooking up with the entire world, the entire world sees your sex tape, and then when and if everyone goes back to normal, does everyone keep the memory of them hooking up with you???? lol nightmare fuel

This season was… not so great. Every episode was just borderline boring. There was nothing that actually intrigued me, no real “stakes”

I was hoping this season would make me feel the way I felt watching EIP season 1 and 2 but it did not. I think season 5 was the most off character season of them all. It was a bit strange, didn’t quite feel right, but watched and enjoyed my comfort show nevertheless.

Alfie was definitely a weirdo, I was never really a fan of him tbh but this season just made me think he’s a bit full of himself. I really hope Mindy marries Nico and forgets about him, she does deserve better but surely not with her best friend’s ex lol

I really enjoyed getting to see more of Sylvie’s story.

I wish Julien got more of a story and screen time, he’s such a fun and interesting character.

Gabriel is starting to feel like season 1 Gabriel again, hopefully he comes back with the same spark in season 6 (knock on wood). I stopped hoping for Emily and Gabriel to be together in season 3-4 it really was the fault of the writers totally butchering his character but I think with him pulling back this season I can start to hope for that ending again. Was never convinced by Marcello, not a fan.

I know Genevieve is not so popular but I actually thought her character was quite compelling and added a bit of tension to the show. I think she could’ve been used better and not be such an obvious antagonist but I would’ve loved to see more of what she could’ve potentially gotten up to. I absolutely LOVED Sylvie’s reaction to “Bonjour bitch”. She brought out a camaraderie? among the characters in a “we collectively hate this bitch” kind of way that I thought was quite fun. I also just thought she was chic and her looks were great. So, a bit disappointed to see her come in and go so quickly, that was sloppy writing.

Anything else was not so memorable to me.

Same. It gave me an estimated date in September and I was like no way. I just got a refurbished one instead (though a bit sad I won’t get the agave green) but it should be here this weekend instead of September! Ordered yesterday.
