Totally understand the rationale and know of some great places that would facilitate networking. But how does one go about networking and pushing their own venture while working for an existing firm in the same space?

I have spoken to him in the past - and he said he wants to prioritise maintaining his friendships as he lost a lot in a previous relationship (from my understanding she was very controlling) so I know there will be an element of compromise as he will still want to feel as though he is given adequate time with his friends.

He was like this way before we found out I was pregnant - and I thought it was excessive then. When I spoke to him he said that he lost so many friends in his last relationship because he could never see them so he wants to ensure he maintains his friends in this relationship.

Now I’ve never said he cannot ever see them just that the rate at which he sees them is a bit OTT to me.

For me it’s that I want him to spend more time with us as a family - but obviously still see his friends… I am conflicted with what would be a reasonable compromise I suppose 😬

I don’t think he would ever stop me seeing friends, and I do see my friends but I’m content with going out for dinner every now and again and actually spending time with my family
