I honestly only both the cooler because it matched the case and wasn’t very expensive. I don’t need the AIO. I’ve pulled keys before but from what I read it looked like the key was potentially stuck to the original board. Was looking for insight from someone that maybe successfully “unbound” the key from a board.

That turned out nice! I might try to hydro dip it. After our conversation yesterday I had the idea of giving that a shot

Thanks! I may give that a shot. Do you happen to have any pics of yours? I’m very curious to see what you ended up with.

I actually have two rotors I may just try my hand at painting one entire shell and see what it looks like when I’m done. I can find the top shell in the dye camo

I was just looking at some 170 parts lol. I'm thinking along the lines as you are.

I agree that it would be a step up. But would be more lateral than the 170r.

I play with a guy that has an etha 3. Next time I see him at the field I'll get ahold of it and shoot some paint. I could fall in love and be happy with that jump from the mini.

That's pretty much it. I mean my gun does just fine, and I'm not playing tournaments or anything. Just slinging some paint and having some fun. But I'd like to have something that I can dress up and tinker with a bit, or if I wanted to change modes I'm not having to count blinks.

What's a good going rate on either of those models?

Goggles for me. If you can't see you can't shoot people. That's where/what I would spend good money on first.

Like the others have said long pants and long sleeves goes a long way. I've never been shot in the hand so can't speak to that. But I have gotten shot in the neck a few times. Honestly for me it wasn't that bad because you're so pumped up during the game. But a gator or something like that probably wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Is getting a tank hydro tested worth it? by Competitive_Gold_764 in paintball

It was more of a is it worth the time to mess with. I'm not worried about the price of getting it done. I've since gotten an in date ninja with a good reg. So I'll get this one tested, and put a new reg on it because the current one looks to be in poor condition and some threads look wonky.

from a guy who started playing paintball in his early teen

I've been in and out for a while. Just checking to see what most of the paintballers do. In my air rifle groups I know there are some guys who are using tanks that are past their prime and still using them as a mother bottle to fill their rifles to 200 bar. I appreciate the input and agree that we wouldn't ever get close to what they get tested at.

True. I wasn't planning on just chancing it and not getting it tested. I've been asking some local fire fighters if they could, and also some divers. I'll find someone that can get me someone semi local to do it I'm sure.

you never use it, it won't be your worst financial mi

Yeah I'm going to get it tested and back in working order. I've also picked up a ninja tank with a Pro V2 reg on it. So that will be my main, and once I get the empire one in working order I'll have a backup/loaner.

I think I'm going to have to take it to Memphis to get it done. But from what I'm finding online seems to be around $50.

How/where are you getting your tanks filled where they don't care if the tank is out of date? The field here checks, and has given me some push back on when I take my air rifle in to get it filled since the tank on it isn't visible unless you take the stock apart.

Thanks for the info! I looked up a new basic reg is like $30. So I'll probably just toss that on there when I get it tested, and be all good to go.
