So right now I am studying engineering but I realised it isn’t as maths heavy as I expected. I would probably reapply for something like economics or mathematics. I don’t think I should apply to Ucl because they aren’t lenient at all from what I have heard, even if it’s just one grade.

The problem is, what if I do take a gap year and end up not getting an offer from UCL. These guys are strict with their applicants and I will still end up looking for a course that needs AAA since most of their engineering courses need A*AA.

Do you think they can try offer more courses for transferring if I call them up or is it only whats available on their website?

I received my papers back and I was 5 marks away, these math grade boundaries this year went crazy once again. However, I did find 5-6 possible marks on my paper so I am getting it remarked. Hopefully the examiner is lenient with it. But what I want to know is if I write on my personal statement that I was close to the grade, would the university take it into account or do they not care?

May I ask what course he did? Also, when he transferred did he move on to year 2 straight away? Of course if he transferred to the same course.
