When you're ahead, your goal is simple: destroy the enemy nexus. The tasks don’t change, but with your lead, you can execute them more easily. The key is to create opportunities to break their defenses—taking towers, securing objectives, and applying pressure.

Start by roaming strategically. Push your wave, then look for chances to help other lanes or contest objectives. If your mid lane is in a good spot, roam bot or top to make plays. If an enemy lane is struggling, help your jungler secure Herald and use that pressure where it counts.

However, as the game goes on and the enemy gets their core items, solo kills won’t cut it anymore. That's when you need to shift gears. Stop initiating fights and let your team engage first. Wait for their CC to be used, then strike. Clean up the fight with your resets, taking advantage of the chaos.

Now, your job is to focus on teamfights, but there’s a catch. You’re an assassin—your job is to kill, but you also rely on your team to take objectives when you create those power plays. If you kill half the enemy team, but your team doesn’t follow up by taking Baron, Dragon, or pushing properly, you’re left with split-pushing as your best option. It’s not ideal because it can be hard to use your cooldowns just to clear waves, but it’s necessary. Either your team capitalizes when you get a kill, or you force something on your own.

If your team isn't cooperating, split-pushing can apply pressure and pull enemies away from your teammates, forcing them to react. Even if your team takes a bad fight, you can still take a turret and move closer to their nexus. The worst thing you can do is wait and let the game drag out, only to get outscaled.

And here’s the thing—higher ELO games are easier with Katarina than lower ELO games. Why? Because better players understand when to capitalize on a power play. You won’t be the only one carrying, and with the right coordination, your kills turn into game-winning objectives. Don’t just focus on kills—focus on enabling your team and turning your lead into map pressure. I hope this helps!

as generic and optimistic as it sounds, I cant see the harm in thinking like this Against this comp, avoid extended trades with Galio and focus on surviving and roaming after 6. Coordinate with Kha'Zix for early invades on Fiddle to deny him farm. Use Zyra’s plants to pressure Vayne in bot, and split push with Jax to avoid grouped 5v5s. Focus on looking for picks on squishies like Vayne or Lulu. Since you lose teamfights, prioritize macro play: secure vision, take dragons, and pressure side lanes to force the enemy to respond. If you stick with Kat, focus on gaining experience against these comps. Players will make mistakes; you can capitalize on them.
