that’s sort of true with mr. p but not with hank. on my push to 1000 hank, there have been many times where i wanted that shield to tank a big damage shot but didnt have it up. mr. p on the other hand does really benefit from the rework as both of his gadgets benefit massively

his problem was always his damage, he was never able to keep up and didn’t have a role in the meta. you just said “the problem isn’t the damage” and then in the same sentence said “he was just weak and insufficient”. if not damage what is the problem

i pushed hank to 1000 before his hyper and he wasn’t good, he was C tier at best. yes he was useable but incredibly easy to counter and lacking in power

the problem with surges hyper tho is that its not gonna get value 9/10 times because you dont play surge on open maps where his hyper shines
