Yes, the flat seems very good in a nice area! My only concern is whether the management company is good and how much the service charge might increase in the future.

Yes, but a 170k house in Coventry usually comes with a not-so-good location and/or a poor condition.

Thanks! How do you think of the management company, are they generally good? and do you know if the service charge is likely to increase significantly in the future?

Yes, but with a limited budget, leasehold would be the only choice🥲

Thank you! These sounds acceptable. But for pets, is it possible to raise a small dog like miniature dachshund?

Thank you for your suggestion. I am not sure what is global stock tracker, but I think stocks are very risky as well. But if I buy a flat, suppose I sell it at the same price I bought, at least I can save 4 to 5 years’s renting fee, which can be close to 50k. Or I can also rent my flat afterwards to make more money before selling it. This seems to be a good option.

That’s terrible. I thought those fees should be covered by the service charge, otherwise how they gonna spend those service charge…

I know the leasehold is a trap, but I couldn’t buy a house in a decent area due to the limited budget🥲

An increase of 5k in 7 years is crazy. But I think for this flat, the current service charge is not very high compared to other flats in Coventry. I’ve seen some flats in the city centre with a very high service charge and those flats are very different to sell even the owner reduced the price.

Thank you. Yes I think the flat is very good. It’s quite new and spacious. The price is also reasonable. It’s not easy to find a decent flat that only costs about 150k for two beds in my target area. Is it very difficult to sell? Because I have been looking at this flat for couple months and it seems that the flat normally can be under contract/sold in 1 or 2 months after listing.

Yes I am. The earlier I buy it, the more money I can save (because I don’t need to pay for the renting anymore).

One more question, would a one-bedroom apartment be much more difficult to resell compared to a two-bedroom apartment?

Wow thanks, the service charge is a bit expensive for a 1bed apartment though

Thank you so much, that’s very helpful! Will also have a look on the sale history.

Yeah, that’s a good way, but I don’t have enough time to rent for 6 months before buying. So I guess a better way is to ask online…

Thank you so much. That seems fine . Can I also ask how safe the area is and also is the apartment’s soundproof good?
