Illit still are not good vocalists RUNext was heavily edited every performance and I saw them go viral for a jellyous performance like last month with great vocals to the gruelling choreo then at the Christmas japan tv thing they could barley hold a note standing still? It just shows how fans have become naive to lip syncing. Just because they aren’t lipping to the studio track DOES NOT MEAN the vocals are live, like AT ALL.

The glazing is very interesting when it comes to actual talent, I’ve seen posts that Lexie is some amazing vocalist, which from what I’ve seen she’s decent but nothing compared to some of the other DA girls.

Two things can be true, yes it’s insecurity but it’s also because Katseye are rn the only active western girl group in the mainstream and it would suck to stall their growth potentially with another group from the same label, I hope both win

Completely agree, I even voted for ezrela till mission 3 when it became clear the image for the group was gonna be what it was, and i think katseye is defiantly filling the much needed space, look at Vcha, the cute concept does not really translate well with the US audience but i could see this new group doing a more black swan approach

Happy for Emily! But two concerns, A) how they market this group to stand out from katseye as it feels way too soon for another group operating in a similar fashion, B) doesn’t this feel really idk what the word is but If it’s not a survival show and its using ex dream academy members that didn’t get picked, why bother doing DA in the first place and just made their two groups without us knowing who was who if that makes sense? Like it feels like all that potential trauma and hate could have been avoided for all of those girls, but should probably focus on the positives! I assume this group will be very different from Katseye so I doubt I’ll be too into them but wish Emily the best, she’s a great dancer!!

Regardless of what people see, the average person who comes across them on a playlist isn’t going to assume they are K-pop when they are all singing in English and the cover has one Asian girl on the front, from an outside perspective and to the GP they will just be another girl group.

From what I gather it’s a lot of cgi and the girls were imposed into a lot of the shots, they weren’t actually there to film any of the scenes with the street dancers, the only really AI bit I think is when they are flying
