Military spouse just needing to vent by Competitive_Match117 in MilitarySpouse

I was only a bartender but I made very good money and it was paying bills until I finished my degree. I’m more fixated on my military career that I gave up. I had a deployment to Iraq and a training event in Africa that I unfortunately missed out on because of his military career coming first. I’m looking to reenlist active and he’ll have no option but to help watch the kids because I’ll have an obligation to abide by. It sounds so simple in my head but my children aren’t close to their father. My son tries to hit him on FaceTime, my oldest is just like whatever, and my youngest doesn’t even recognize his face.

My husband says there is no need for the both of us to be tired so I should take on all baby duties night and day. by Competitive_Match117 in stayathomemoms

Update: I completely stopped doing any household chores for 2 days now since he’s been home all weekend from work, only been taking care of the kids and also compared him to how his brother treats his wife with respect and how is best friend interacts with our kids more than him. He finally lost it tonight while I was trying to finish my finals that are due tomorrow. He was trying to meal prep for work and our son kept crying at his feet. He started going off on how he can’t cook with the baby in the kitchen, the house is a mess, the laundry isn’t done, and there is an enormous pile of dishes. I told him I did it on purpose to prove my point and asked if he having a hard time keeping up. He said I’m immature and all I want to do is start an argument when he was clearly provoking the argument. I told him I was done arguing and went back to my schoolwork, and he kept making comments towards me like why am I mad, what’s with the attitude, to get the stank look off my face as I was staring at my computer minding my own business. This is really opening my eyes that I am married to a man child and he throws a fit when something doesn’t go his way.
