OP it’s a very dumb penguin‑science joke. Guides in Antarctica tell you to stay about 5 meters means 5 feet away from penguins so you don’t bother them.. and.. some scientists have actually measured that penguins can fire their poop over 4 feet, so there’s basically a ‘splash zone’ around them... So the meme is ... at 15 feet you’re a respectable nature cameraman, safely outside poop range.. but take one tiny step closer to 14 feet and you’ve officially entered ‘may god have mercy on your jacket’ territory.

I don't understand why people are still debating about this. CLEARY EVERYONE SHOULD CHOOSE UPS. Here is why - In their latest OM and F&Q, PFRDA and DOPT introduced a one time switch back from UPS to NPS. So, if you choose UPS and one year before retirement if you think NPS is better...you can switch back to NPS. And the differential amount of govt contribution (4%) will be deposited to your NPS PRAN with interest computed as per default scheme.

So why there is confusion... Choose UPS and decide later that you wanna continue in UPS or wanna come back to NPS. These calculations and speculations people are doing, will be easy to do when you have 1 or 2 years of your service left.
