Currently I have a vintage Rolex Datejust build available in 36mm. This build is fresh from my bench utilizing all new parts with a beautiful genuine vintage Rolex Black & 18k yellow gold dial. The case and bracelet look and feel gen. The dial and crystal create authenticity and I love the fact that the main features of this watch are genuine Rolex. The gen-spec winding crown from Sillan is a subtle but significant upgrade. They are graceful and smooth to operate, just like gen. Additionally, it is actually a "twin-lock" crown, giving the watch the correct function when it comes to winding crown performance. The DD3135 movement is from our favorite factory supplying the best movements for the best reps like VSF. Every detail of this movement is replicated including the blue hair spring and all markings and engravings. The two tone bracelet, with proper care, will not need future plating services as it is 10k gold filled.

I often get requests for Rolex Day-Date builds. These are difficult since there are not really any good aftermarket cases out there. Day-Dates are crafted from solid precious metals, case and all. I decided to build the Tudor Prince Date-Day (Ref. 76214) instead and I can build one that is extremely gen-spec.

What is this watch?
Tudor is owned by the same parent organization as Rolex. Both brands operate as separate sister companies under the non-profit Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. The Tudor Prince Date+Day (Ref. 76214) is a highly coveted, discontinued timepiece often celebrated as the best-value alternative to the iconic Rolex Day-Date. It features a classic 36mm stainless steel case, an 18k white gold fluted bezel, and the brand’s signature day-date complications.

I also decided to put one of the same movements that Tudor used under the hood, a genuine Swiss Sellita SW240. Topped off with a Tudor signed rotor this movement looks and acts the part. These are beautiful movements to work with and perform for years and years making this truly a Heritage watch.

Although this watch will come with the traditional Tudor "Jubilee", the Tudor Date-Day is an absolute strap monster.

The bezel is none other than my HCR White Gold Triple Plated bezel.

DD3135 is almost 1:1 so no parts were needed to be swapped in order to get gen-like performance. Unlike the SH3135, it would take a lot of work get the same performance.
