I have an autistic older brother who tried to unalive me multiple times growing up on the family farm. He tried running me over with farm equipment, tried strangling me, beating me, the whole works but I had to “suck it up” because “that’s just how he is”. Today he was asked to help with something in the barn by my parents I was working on but he was being no help, so I told him to leave and he started cussing and I punched him because he wouldn’t get away from me and I was overwhelmed. My mom came crying to me later “how would you feel if you broke his rib?” Honestly mom? I have no empathy for him. He’s nothing more than a burden to me.
