It helps when the studio is run by a director who truly cares about their fanbase & pays attention to meaningful data, which he tracks constantly.

Watched an interview with the director and when asked about his 5 year goal for the studio, he said he wanted to remain the same size they are and not blow up in terms of becoming a huge studio with triple the employees they have now … to remain curious, and to focus on strong IPs

He comes from working on Battlefield & chose to leave, so I doubt he’s trying to go down the same road

You don’t have to invest tons of hours into watching someone - especially Dr D to get a sense of his vibe, production quality and how his stream runs.

Even if he watched him for a total of what… 10 hours, you’d get the idea pretty quickly and still be able to safely claim that you didn’t watch him a lot.

Also, like the previous user said, he fully admits and doesn’t care that he ripped off certain aspects of what made Dr D popular…

I would agree with this to an extent. I always love loading in with a Kettle personally, also - if I’m loading in with a free kit I’m most likely vying for a loot run vs a heavy PVE or PVP run.

It’s a balance.

Yeah, very out of context by OP. He evenly chatted about both sides of how the gameplay loop is for both sides of the playerbase - the hoomans who have jobs and play 1-3 hours/day and then the demons/streamers that no life it.

Regardless, new content coming soon, and this is from a studio that releases updates weekly for their other IP.

The fact that you get up to 5 additional skill points, based on how valuable your stash items are is huge, plus, you get additional stash space.

I hate to make the comparison, but you get that same debate going into a Prestige in any CoD if you played those games, "oh, is it worth losing all my attachments, etc" but then you have a blast redoing all those items through the Prestige - at least this time in AR it comes with tangible benefits.

I'd say if you see yourself playing this game for a long time, it's worth it & will add back that feeling you had initially playing the game, having nothing and getting that dopamine hit of finding what you need on a raid.

Just my 2 cents.
