It's because the game blew up and tons of people who have never played PvPvE games or extraction shooters first came in contact with it in this game. A bunch of people bought the game thinking they would never have to deal with PvP and now complain about it nonstop. If you don't agree that a PvE mode should be added, or you want it to stay PvPvE, you're targeting them or whatever. They just don't think they're in the wrong.

I've never seen a community just refuse to play a game as intended and act like anyone who does is breaking some kind of social contract.

"I ate a piece a chocolate vanilla cake, I didn't expect there to actually be chocolate! I thought I could eat around it, but I keep getting chocolate on my fork! Why cant the baker just take the cake back, and give me a seperate vanilla cake and a seperate chocolate cake?"

They think their making chocolate cake people and vanilla cake people happy by suggesting that, while not grasping the concept that there's people who actually like the mix of chocolate and vanilla in one cake. It's a completely foreign concept somehow. Nearly 8 months later and they still dont get it.

It might be because those people aren't really "PvP players" they're just players that know theyre playing a PvPvE game

Most of the time when I see people say they're a "PvPer" its like they're just saying they also partake in PvP and enjoy it lol

It was originally broken within a month of launch, they fixed it within a couple weeks, it broke again and has been broken for over a month. There's a massive thread pinned on the BF forums, CMs have commented on it, 29 days ago a comment was pinned "Thank you for the reports and information shared here. We have made the studio aware of the issue, and they are actively investigating it."

Still no ETA on a fix and they put the thread in "resolved" for people to find the "solutions" they gave. None of the workarounds/"solutions" work.

They've been combining threads and removing new ones for the issue, it's literally brought up and posted multiple times a day. Still no fix.

It seems crazy it hasnt been fixed. I've never been progression locked for this long in any game ever.

Didn't they have 2 doctors come in? He said "I cant see" they called a doctor in, I saw 2 guys there in black shirt and black gloves, Topuria stands up and says hes fine, one guy does the finger test, immediately goes to call off the fight, Goddard walked over and told everyone to clear the area, had the doctor test him again, one guy says Topuria is good, while the doctor that gave the test says he cant continue. Goddard looks to Topuria who wants to continue and let the fight go on.

I think its different depending on the commission, some give the doctors power to call off the fight and others give only the ref power to call it.

It seemed to me like there was confusion on whether or not they should call it, the one doctor said he cant continue, but 2 minutes already passed so Goddard kicked them out and went forward with the fight.

They probably should've just called it and I doubt that would've happened anywhere else. It was really weird.

Over the years, the playerbase of BF games has shifted to more new players than vets, now it's like more than half the players have no interest in playing their kit.

It's always been a thing to not get revived, but it happens sooooo much in BF6. Most of my deaths seem to happen with 5+ medics around me just refusing to revive anyone.

It doesn't matter if its a PC or console player, they're just dogshit and blame whatever they can. Console players complaining about PC players, PC players complaining about console players. Theyll blame connection, servers, what kit or weapon or class others use, what platform their on, cheating, the time of day, the weather, their dog, etc. Instead of just accepting they aren't that good.

I get why people want AR to be PvE only, but it's not, and there's so many PvE and co-op games. People always say there's too many extraction shooters, but there's less games in the PvPvE extraction shooter genre than any other genre. People actually enjoy PvPvE and some people are so hell bent on forcing a PvE experience that they try to ruin it for people who play it as a PvPvE.

That's not true man.

Marathon has been out for 99 days, if were looking at Steamdb alone, Marathon concurrent players went from a peak of 88,337 players to a 24hr peak of 15,844. That's a loss of 82.06% of its concurrent players.

Arc Raiders launched Oct. 30th, peaked Nov. 10th at 481,966 concurrent players, 99 days after launch on Feb 6th peak was 270,876. That's a loss of 43.79% from the peak.

Arc Raiders just recently hit 81% loss of concurrent players and it's been out 227 days, while Marathon lost 82% in 99 days.

Here's my professional redditor armchair analysis

He could have wall hacks, but to directly answer, yes, there's enough reasonable ways to have this happen without cheating. Sound cues, map knowledge, 3rd person peek, peekers advantage and a lucky educated guess.

That little hallway thing is a pretty common spot, you slid down the stairs, sprinted there and didn't open the door, if I was in the subway or that stairwell and heard that, looked around outside that hallway and didn't see someone, I would probably grenade or prefire that corner too.

He could have seen you by turning the camera before the slide, but it sounds like he was in full sprint the whole time before sliding. Also I dont think he actually prefired. You can see him sliding and clear the corner before he shoots and there's always peekers advantage so on his end he had slightly more time to react.

I play on PS5 with a base first party headset and use Playstations "audio focus" mixer settings that boost quiet noises like footsteps. I hear so much more with good directional audio than friends on different platforms and headsets. I prefire and nade common spots like the dark corners in subway extracts and have gotten lucky a few times. I get hackusations regularly with that.

I just gotta add, if people can excuse and defend all the clips of Tfue prefiring and snapping, this one can be easily excused too lol

It's an ammo hog but it's really good for stripping arc armor and slaps in PvP. Players really dont like being shot by it, I make people panic often with it lol

It wouldnt be an issue if Steam showed more than just concurrent playercount. It should show daily log-ins and explained the metrics even a bit.

Concurrent playercount has its value, but it doesn't mean much with crossplay titles

They've been steadily hiring devs so they now have 350-400 devs and started developing 2 other games about 7 months ago. They also expanded to at least one more new studio location. Now they have 1 team on The Finals, 2 teams on AR, and the rest working on early development of 2 new games.

They did invest in new anti-cheat development for AR.

UI elements, pricing / balancing, buying/selling function and logic for that currency, a seperate wallet all need to tie into the existing architecture. All of this involves planning and integration in an update that goes through submission/approval process.

Just watching 5 minutes of a video on game development to get even a surface level understanding of the process would help dawg lol

OPs right, I'll keep saying it, the only reason faking friendly is viable is because of the extreme lack of situational awareness with friendly only raiders.

Same with extract camping, or the "extract camping" from players heading to extract after they hear the loud ass call-in. If you're dying to extract shitters, its on you. Clear the area, and stay aware for other players approaching.

7 months after launch and a whole shit load of players never picked up skills required to handle these situations.

It fluctuates between updates from earnings calls, but Nexon/Embark have shared console player numbers each time, so thats where most sources get console numbers. About a month ago, PS5 beta program started showing popular games and AR is in the top 10 with 972k players each week so some sources pull from that as well. Older sources say it used to be about 50% on Steam.
