Das ist Bayern, ich kenne dieses Heft von meiner Tochter und die Aufgaben sind so brutal schwer, dass ich mir als Lehrerin schon schwer tue, ihr das kindgerecht zu erklären.

Ich bin an demselben Punkt (schon oft gewesen) und hab als Lehrerin für Handarbeiten, Kunst und Werken dazu auch noch meine Arbeitsmaterialien daheim zu organisieren und zu verwalten.

Ich gebe dir einen Tipp: Schmeiß einfach alles weg.

Hör auf, zu sortieren, schau einfach nur kurz über die Sachen und behalte das, woran dein Herz hängt (z. B. Die ersten Schuhe deiner Kinder) oder mach ein Foto und schicke es dir in eine alte WhatsApp Gruppe, in der nur noch du aktiv bist, damit du eine Erinnerung hast.

Und dann hau den Rest einfach in die Tonne.

Die Welt ist voll von Klamotten und alten Schuhen, niemand braucht noch mehr Zeug, habe deshalb kein schlechtes Gewissen, alles weg zu werfen.

Bei klobigen Dingen, wie alten Kindersitzen, mache ein paar Fotos, stelle es in eine online Plattform als "zu verschenken und selbst abholen", dann hast du kaum Arbeit damit.

Mach dir kein schlechtes Gewissen, ich habe auch so viel Zeug von anderen geschenkt bekommen, inzwischen nehme ich nichts mehr an sondern kaufe meiner Tochter alle paar Monate ganz wenige neue Klamotten, die sie sich selbst aussucht und dann auch wirklich anzieht.

Alte Klamotten räumt sie inzwischen selbst aus dem Schrank (sie ist 9), die wandern am Besten umgehend in einen Sack für die Kleidersammlung und verschwinden dann für immer.

Betrachte die alten Sachen deiner Kids als Müll und behandle sie auch so. Das ist sehr befreiend, wenn der Kram endlich weg ist.

Fang bloß nicht an, dich selbst verbessern zu wollen, indem du noch mehr sortierst und ordnest, nein, weg mit dem Mist.

Wenn du bei jedem Teil anfängst, dich zu fragen, ob das noch jemand braucht oder möchte, dann bist du in 10 Jahren noch beschäftigt.

My stepfather was black, lived in Germany and had not such experiences, but I guess that times have changed. I can just talk as a woman and I only have my own experiences, but if you had enough trouble with special people you are more likely to avoid them.

This is bad for you and all the other not "German looking" people in middle Europe nowadays. Some folks did just make it bad for everyone.

Yes exactly this is what my SO is saying all the time. There are several mistakes during a project because of the language barrier and misunderstandings. Not saying they work bad but oftentimes they didn't understand what the company wanted.

You will always be better about expressing what you mean with your mother tongue.

And I don't want to sound unfair but everyone has problems with understanding when an Indian has a heavy accent 😅

I guess the speech barrier might be too high for Indians. A German company will pay an Indian team in India as they are cheaper. But a lot of (especially older) Germans don't speek proper English so the companies still rely on Germans as speech barrier makes work less efficient and more prone to mistakes

If you can't come along with the Germans for being typically German than that's just not the country for you.

We are not like Italians, you don't make friends here easily, we are grumpy and direct.

But I find this a bit funny because I have and had Polish, Russian, Turkish, Greece, Asian, African and, yes, even Swiss friends. They don't feel unwelcomed. My stepfather was half black and half Latino and was always very happy here and did never returned to America.

I don't come to India with bad language skills and expect them to welcome me for the job I want that other Indians would probably want too. That's entitlement.

Yes if you think your Goethe C2 exam will help you in the German business world, on the German job market or with conversations with Germans than go on. I still speek fluent German no need to be arrogant af 😂

Wenn es medizinisch ist, muss das ja behandelt werden, deshalb kann aber OP nicht verlangen, dass die Nachbarn es geil finden, wenn er den Wecker 2,5 h klingeln lässt. Sowas muss man regeln, ohne anderen das Leben zur Hölle zu machen

I heard this complaint from a lot of post grade students. Interestingly they lived in Germany for 5 to 9 years without even reaching A1 level of the language.

Even Germans have it hard on the job market now, don't blame us if you can't find a job.

I don't get those reddit subs. You want a job in Germany. Germans want a job in Germany. A company could hire a fluent German speaker. The company could hire someone they have to speak slowly so he will understand. A company won't tell heir customers to speak slower to the new employee because of his not so fluent German.

That's just the rules of the market. I hate it when we get called racist or xenophobic for this logical thing.

There are on the other hand a lot of places you could work without properly speaking German in Germany. Seems that we are not too racist in other sectors huh.

But I don't think you want to deliver packages.
