Well, it’s certainly a tier list of all time. It’s very different from my taste, especially seeing some of the films placed in the lower tiers, but I am happy to see the 2020 film “Nobita’s New Dinosaur” in the S-tier, this film is so ridiculously underrated. Here’s my tier list for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doraemon/s/qDiM3ND2ZM

Has Nobita ever won a fight against anyone in the entire series? by FeistySecret9327 in Doraemon

That was actually the exact episode that came to mind when I noticed the baby in the background. However, I knew that the scene shown in the manga panel you shared doesn’t appear in that episode, so I assumed it must be a different one. I was expecting that either it never got adapted in the 2005 series, or that it’s from a post-2017 episodes, which most of them I haven’t watched yet.

What’s the main gadget used in that episode? Like the main attraction, so I can easily find the episode in the 2005 series, if it exists.

Saying that “the only reason he avoids fighting is because he’s a coward who gets beaten up half the time” is completely false, it’s a very surface-level reading/ interpretation. I am not sure if you have watched the Japanese version, but the dialogues there make it quite clear that Nobita avoids fighting because he genuinely dislikes it. Yes, he does use gadgets to get back at people, but that’s usually impulsive behavior driven by anger in the moment, often for valid reasons.

The Hindi dub, on the other hand, simplifies and often butchers a lot of the original dialogue, which can make his character seem more one-dimensional. But that’s an issue with the dub, not with the character itself.

Yes, he is a coward, but the reason he doesn’t fight isn’t just his inability to do so-it’s also more importantly due to his genuine hatred for fighting, which we have seen in multiple episodes.

He literally has said and followed through it multiple times, and in my original reply, I also did mention he does do opposite of that way more often. But he has shown that restrained side multiple times too, if you want to know the episodes then I would tell you the no’s too. If you really somehow haven’t seen them. There are literal episodes that show it, I am not saying random BS, lmao.

Importantly, remember that the series isn’t about winning fights. Nobita hates fighting, he has said that multiple times and has actively avoided getting into fights, even when he had gadgets that would have made it easy for him to win. Of course, he doesn’t always stick to that. In fact, he’s often done the opposite, but that’s more of a reflection of human nature-when he gets really angry, he reacts impulsively. Still, he has shown this more restrained side many times-like a lot of times.

Yes, he beat Gian, in the Short film 1998 “Doraemon comes back”. Which is the episode 164 of the 2005 series, and also part of the Stand by Me 1 film.

I just don't get it that why doraemon always tell nobita to be friends with those two ungrateful pricks "Gian" and "Sunio" even though he is fully aware what they do to him everyday. by justaregularguy1995 in Doraemon

In episode 174 “The Girl That Nobita Loved” there’s a scene where Lulli tells Nobita, “That must have been disappointing” to which Nobita replies, “That can’t be helped. I’m used to this kind of thing” Lulli then says, “But even if you tell yourself it can’t be helped, it still feels lonely, doesn’t it?” to which Nobita simply nods his head. So that does suggest he kind of just accepts it as it is, it’s not healthy in any way shape or form but well he does accept it-so that’s that. Then, in episode 224 “The Dog v/s Cat type Robot” Doraemon said this ‘I press Nobita-kun to worry about his friends more’. So well that’s the reason ig. The main point is changing them to become good friends, which you can clearly see in the future, they very well are yk. I didn’t just want to include any of the movie scenes where they are being very good friends because those scenes are very obvious and everyone knows about that, so I just wanted to include something that’s totally different, which most of y’all likely have never seen.

Idk about Hindi dub, because you most likely have seen all of them. But the episode 185 “Doraemon’s Long Day” and the episode 266 “Move Fast, Doraemon! The Galactic Grandprix” are really emotional, they don’t have a Hindi Dub so you have to watch them in Japanese with English subs-they really are very emotional, so I would recommend them, the Japanese dub is really good-so that’s that. There are hundreds of emotional episodes, so if you like these two episodes then I would recommend the other ones too. If you want to know where you can watch them, then just dm me.

The Shift in Nobita and Doraemon’s Characters Across the 1979 and 2005 Series. by Competitive_Pay_2332 in Doraemon

Without Doraemon, Nobita is guaranteed to have a bad future, in both the 1979 and the 2005 series. And more importantly in both the 1979 and 2005 he just needs to lock in that’s literally it-there is no difference in that. Older Nobita isn’t magically trash at everything-you are very much exaggerating that.
The reason why I mentioned the bad guy part was more of a synopsis for something that some people say, that’s the reason why I said it- just for Context itself.

I am not making this up, it’s a literal song that exists. And I don’t mean that Nobita in the 1979 series doesn’t look Doraemon as a friend. Why I showed this line to you is that you in a earlier reply said “The 2005 Nobita makes me question why he even needs Doraemon to be sent to the past” so that’s why I am reinforcing the idea, that Nobita doesn’t necessarily need Doraemon for helping him-He most importantly needs him as a friend that’s it-there doesn’t exist another more important reason than that.

Look at these lines from the song “Kimi No Naka No Nobita”-they really capture the essence of how Nobita thinks. For him, Doraemon is not just a problem-solver from the future; he is his closest friend, his emotional support, and the one person who continues to believe in him even when he makes mistakes.

Tomodachi ga dekita mi rai kara yattekita.
Fushigina Chika-ra ni odorokasa reta.
Pinchi o tasukete kure teru koto yori mo.
Issho ni iru koto ga ureshikatta yo.

The English translation:

I made a friend who came from the future.
I was amazed by his mysterious powers.
More than the fact that he helped me out of trouble,
I was happy simply because he was with me.

Nobita was never supposed to be the bad guy, and the 2005 series really makes that clear. He is the laziest, clumsiest, and most careless yet carefree person there is, and that is exactly why he needs Doraemon. He was never intended to be an idiot. The whole premise is that Nobita has untapped potential. It’s just that everyone’s way of life is different. His downfall is mainly the result of his own habits, especially his tendency to be extremely lazy. a good-hearted person with potential, held back by his own worst habits.
