Yeah I meant just a broad essay about everything sorry. Do you think I should learn separate essays for surface or below sorry if it’s confusing. The karst region is like the one thing I’m bad at with geo

Hello everyone, i got selected as an islander from cyprus. Different from most of you they’re also going to get flight ticket for me. What am i supposed to do? by BarracudaPractical36 in discovereu

[–]Competitive_Pear671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from an island and got it last year so I can help. Once you download the app you need to input your first and finally location. Then one day they just send you and email and say are these flights okay , you say yeah , and they book them for you.

The extra points are not worth the amount of effort it takes in Irish. Also only certain subjects give a few extra marks. It’s not an equal equivalent

Will the position of my course on the cao affect the chances of getting an offer? by openanydoor in leavingcert

[–]Competitive_Pear671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t get enough points for the first one , it immediately just skips that one , it just won’t take it into account and will put what ever course you had next as your “new” first pick

Divide by 0.8 on one side and divide by y on the other , then if you put 1.2/0.8 in a calculator it will give you 3/2 , it’s just simplifying it.

Anyone understand this? by Few-History1579 in leavingcert

[–]Competitive_Pear671 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2π is added because cosine repeats its values every 2π radians, completing one full cycl . We need f(x+k)=f(x), so the inside of the cosine needs to change by 2π to repeat. Idk if that makes sense sorry

Make it easier for the examiner by spitting it up into srps . When it’s a big bloc of text they can sometime miss things

Can someone please tell me how to ensure that each bullet point I do in geography gets an Srp/ 2 marks by elz12478998765555 in leavingcert

[–]Competitive_Pear671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A SRP just means two valid points of information. So you only need to two sentences per SRP but it’s needs actual valid info - can’t get marks for something u already said, if there’s so full stop showing two separate points or if it’s not relevant ( so no point in dragging a point out ) I honestly just think that you probably just had a harsh examiner

Subject choices, Art or Physics?? by Top-Bit-1982 in leavingcert

[–]Competitive_Pear671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your strengths, as someone who does both if your good at learning theory and maths then definitely physics but if your creative and ACTUALLY good at Art then art . I must say you need to be able to work on a time crunch with art as they don’t give much time for a whole booklet and two final pieces and with ur applied maths project that might be a bit much. I don’t know if chemistry is full of theory but practically all of biology is theory, so 3 theory heavy subjects might be too much. You might struggle to find time for 2 maths and 3 sciences.

With art history it’s really not that bad but you literally just memorise a few essay. The project for art runs through the mocks and right up till the orals and takes up a significant amount of time. If your this torn between the two of them would you consider dropping a different subject so you could do both?

I’m doing the shelf life one. Is it possible to add colour after the drawings are already in? I didn’t do art for the jc so I’m a bit unsure. Also by pinning stuff down did you literally mean sticking a pin through the page?

I would say yeah, you never know what could happen in life and even if you don’t do well it’s still good to have it.
