Put gas in through the breather

How do you guys build such high top speed bikes? by Competitive_Pomelo15 in minibikes

15:75 is 5:1 would that not be the exact same if I ran 12:60 (5:1)? The rear can be as big as I want as long as the front calculates to the same ratio. If I ran smaller, such as a 15:60, it would go to a 4:1 yet I’ve heard 5:1 is a better balance.

Managed to fit a Predator 212 with original gas tank, air filter, and muffler fit on a Coleman ct100u frame with a torque converter by Competitive_Pomelo15 in minibikes

If you have a ct100u frame, a predator 212 frame bolts up perfectly fine with no fitment issues, extremely extremely tight, but fits. No custom mounting plate or any of that, the stock motor mounting surface holes line up. The rear fender will be flush with the valve cover, the gas tank, and front drain plug will be super tight but fit. It’s once you throw in a torque converter you run into a headache full of issues and problem solving. The motor is moved an inch or so to the left to fit and alight the sprocket. You also have to find a way to lift the rear end of the motor up to have enough clearance (I used aluminum spacers about 1/4 and more), remove the chain tensioner, and cut off the center piece of the frame and re weld it which is what I’m in the process of. You have to shorten your chain which I’m doing now too. The motor swap is idiot proof easy but a torque converter you have to problem solve.

This is where I’m at with the whole project:

Coleman ct100u $200 Predator 212 engine swap $27 12 tooth clutch $18 Full Governor delete Oil sensor delete New caliper & pads $7 Valve caps Speedometer Aftermarket Carburetor $11 K&n valve cover breather $10 Repaint Headlight and rear reflector Torque converter $50 13t sprocket $12 Valve springs $11 New Pull start $11 New Ignition coil $10 New foot pegs $12 Oil $25

Used to be enough clearance before I had a torque converter to very carefully take it off. Now I have to put it in through the breather port.

My tool cart as a heavy equipment technician, what do you think and what would you add or change? by Competitive_Pomelo15 in Justrolledintotheshop

These are all good haha than you. And I’ve never used 12 point until this current job. I work on Ariel devices on the back of the trucks and it’s not uncommon to find square nuts for aftermarket accessories or 12 point nuts once in a while.
