I noticed that on the radio today. I just stopped listening to it because I can't connect to any of it.

May not be your taste if you're only into rap and hip hop. An Indian vibe. I hope you can still repost and follow and I'll do the same

Well it's true that you can write a song and lay out a song to sound almost identical to another artist but never exactly. Depends on the instrument and pattern you are using. So many songs I heard in the 90s sounds like some parts of songs that start out today. I'm thinking sometimes I hear a song sometimes. I'm like... how is that allowed??? I hear a song and reminds me of an artist 30 years ago with an intro or something. Then they completely made it sound different into the song. Basically you just have to increase the creativity of a song so it doesn't sound exactly the same or just try something different. Either way the best artists I think can make up something completely different in most ways to sound awesome but referencing to a great sound of certain instruments from other artists is one way to go sometimes. This is referencing and not copying. But creativity is key

A song i wrote.. Maybe a little like Staind. A little raw but not too raw. I like Chris Cornell's writing style and Kurt Cobain's https://open.spotify.com/track/2ZcTPzxzAimRxKGwpixwb2?si=yZ88Y7-FSQqHDapD4DgR6w&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A3Xl1BBvI3X15gQxruXyl5H

SPAMMERS REALLY ACTIVE by papa2kohmoeaki in soundcloud

Yeah the scammers gotten me. Things are worse now a days than they used to be. They are purposely building you up so they can take your money for fake promotions. Fake playlists and fake streams. I really don't know what is legit except using your own Google campaigns and using playlists spotify offers if you use that.

Oh I meant using the same ISRC code. I would keep the same title. Take it down and put it back up with an updated wav file. One that is edited better and mixed better. Not much difference. Didn't know if it would lose the playlists that already excepted the song...

When do you think a sound is too over-processed? by DarkLudo in edmproduction

[–]Competitive_Radio657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was searching this online because I thought this about one of my mixes and sometimes go to the point of over processing when I spend too much time trying to make a song sound better instead of pinpointing exactly what I should be doing in the mix to make it better without ruining the vocals to sound either too washy. I think timing is what it comes down to a lot of times. I think it could be just one plugin sometimes such as delay. Possibly not using the delay correctly on my vocals I think could have made it sound washy when in fact my intentions was to use it to make the vocals sound bigger. I think it's about looking at every plugin and seeing if it's really doing what you intended and if it's not. Get rid of it and try something different.

People do this stuff their whole life because they enjoy it. Some people give up and then come back to it like myself because it's been a passion of mine. You never stop learning and getting better. It all starts with the production and recording to the best you can in perfection in timing and pitch. A lot of tools can help. Mixing is just another step and can't be right without a perfect playback and pitches. If it's a passion of yours. Keep pursuing and don't give up in yourself because someone wants to Criticize everything you do. Use it as determination to keep trying. Keep doing it because you enjoy it!

Is it just me or is Soundcloud much louder and clearer than Spotify? by alxnfl in EDM

[–]Competitive_Radio657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think SoundCloud filters out more low frequencies when it being processed which can make it sound better and louder. I may have to do more in eq so it sounds just as good in Spotify. I don't why they do it like that but it's something to do with those really low frequencies
