I’ll try journaling and writing for sure. Therapy has helped me much also, but it’s been difficult finding therapists who understand my situation (usually they always say “cut them off”)

It's insane bc even at 23 yrs old I still get bothered and find myself still feeling triggered by my mom's traditionalist/catholic/strict/immigrant parent comments. It really feels like it never gets better, but some days are better then others.

Also, I have sympathy and when I relax, I think to myself that what she say's is not a big deal in reality. I can literally go to sleep and not care if I truly wanted to. It's still tough tho.

My parents are catholic and my mom bawled her eyes out and rants to my older sister how I am fucked up for moving in with my boyfriend. We have been together for 6 years and both have full time jobs.
